Prompt: This cat has an ambitious goal. He wants to take down a bear. Why a bear? Because it is such a powerful foe. Though if the worst were to happen instead, he finds that wouldn't be such a bad way to go to the fluffy sky above. Hopefully those left behind would write stories and songs of his deeds, especially his fight against the bear.

All his life, Charredbranch has had an intimidating quality to him. At first impressions, he excels at instilling fear in others due to his scars, his piercing gaze, his gravelly, gruff manner of speaking. Not many cats seem willing to crack the rough surface that Charredbranch exudes, which only has caused the tom to be more gruff and closed off, chasing others away before they have a chance to judge him as something he's not. If they want him to be intimidating so bad, why won't he be?

Yet, Charredbranch has a deeper goal in mind for his life. He doesn't want to be the cat everyone sees as mean, the one that the kits and apprentices run away from. His goal is to have his own family, to live peacefully with a mate and kits, and to have each other. No more mean Charredbranch; no, instead, Charredbranch wants to be the greatest mentor to the apprentices his clan has ever seen, and to be the best father for any future kits he can be. For 2 years, Beetle has been tracking down all a beast. And it's easy to make the assumption from their gruff exterior and the laceration of their scars that Beetle seeks to vanquish it. After-all, such a large beast would make a fearsome foe and there's no doubt that they have the know-how to take it down. The beast in-question is the famed boar, long since extinct from the land and only now making an incredible come-back. Beetle simply wishes to observe from afar, scrutinising its foraging habits and how it survives. Ever since they could walk, Beetle has always been curious about the world around them - and sees no issue with roaming far and wide, even if it means they walk into the jaws of danger. The world is to be understood, rather than feared or hated, and Beetle's fascination started with insects, chasing them as a young kitten before steadily growing to include all a manner of creatures. XXXXXXXXShadow has always been the sort of cat that everyone forgets about. Honestly, he doesn't blame them. If he were them, he'd completely forget about his existence too. He had contributed exactly what was expected during his time as a member of the tribe. From his birth to now, he had accomplished nothing that every other cat hadn't also achieved. Even the youngest members of the tribe were starting to show promise that he had evidently never shown. Shadow was tired of living up to his name, always living in every other cat's shadows. He'd tried not to grow bitter. He'd tried to just be happy for his tribe mates, but he eventually found that he couldn't stand it anymore. He tried his best, but somehow, all of his efforts were completely futile. Nobody noticed him. Nobody praised him for his hard work, or a job well done.

XXXXXXXXTherefore, Shadow's goal is to strike out on a quest that will undoubtedly gain the attention of his fellow tribemates! Their home on the Golden Peninsula is drying up. The lands are becoming hard to survive in as prey flees to lands more fertile and with more water. Though The Fallen have always been a nomadic tribe, their leader is hesitant to leave their home of several years. Shadow barely remembers their days of long travel between encampments. Even now, he looks back with scorn on the memory of that fateful day when Star Reader said that they would settle down on the Golden Peninsula for a while. No cat knew that 'a while' would become years. Since they came to power, Star Reader had been forcing The Fallen to abandon their nomadic lifestyle. But not anymore!

XXXXXXXXWith this quest, Shadow is certain that he could remind his tribemates of what it was like to explore! They weren't meant to stay in one place for too long, that's why one home after the next kept falling to ruin. His tribemates deserved to see everything the world had to offer! He would convince his tribe, one by one if he had to, that they must return to their former ways. And if Star Reader refused, he would just have to help her see the truth in his words. One way, or another.

smokejaw has always sought to provide protection to the clan though he didn't know exactly what, the path of the warrior didn’t interest him at all. he searched for something in the crumbled stone palaces along the island, peeking into the caved in homes and through the over grown pillars when he came across an old blacksmith’s area. once he found the right tools and figured out how to use them something sparked in him. he began to craft assortments if weapons for his clanmates to use in harsh battles, hand crafted weaponry from when warrior apprentices ceremonies. it has taken him years to master. smokejaw has found intense pride in being able to provide a different type of protection for his clan, one he crafted with his own paws. his next goal is to teach the next generation of blacksmithing hoping they will craft even better weaponry then himself.

What, you ask, was Dark's ultimate goal? Why, to restore his lost hoard of course. Beforehand, when he was considerably larger, much broader, and had a fine covering of scales, he had amassed a gigantic fortune consisting of the riches of ravaged lands. The stacks and heaps of gold and gems reached nearly to the ceiling of his cavern at various angles, and he had stomped and melted out a comfortable place in the middle on which to curl up and sleep. One could hardly blame him for being protective of his little slice of golden utopia.

However, now - as a cat... a CAT of all things! - he had lost all of that, and wished to regain at least some of it. It would be harder... without the certain advantages his large, and somewhat scaley form had had. He'd retained none of those. But he still had the wisdom of his many years, he still remembered his name, and how it struck fear into the hearts of those who heard it, and he still had his charms. Becoming small furry, and cute did not automatically reduce his threat-level to zero.

He WOULD earn back his gold, even if he had to do so one piece at a time.
