his dreams are filled with gods- great slumbering minds, alien to his own, and trapped beneath the earth.

he has never laid eyes on them. but he knows them.

he has not seen them, but he has felt them, and heard them speak into his mind. their voices sound very different, these gods from beyond the stars. cavernous and earthshaking and greater than his own, strong enough to make him feel like his bones are rattling even in a dream- and yet muffled, for they are asleep. the marvel of holding conversations with slumbering gods is fascinating to him, and terrifying in equal measure.

it is the god of balance he enjoys speaking to the most. they are wise, this much he can tell, sparking with an attention and care for the details of existence and the order of the world. they have spoken many strange things into his dreams, few of which he understands- but there is a comfort in their voice nonetheless, and he always likes to listen to it. he wakes from these dreams feeling energized, as though sparking head to tail with lightning.

the god of life he likes less- their presence is a burning one, fierce and unrelenting and nearly overwhelming, at times, with the heat of their passion and fury. the god of life urges him to grow, and thrive, and it feels like a threat. he wakes from these dreams burning and overly warm, sweating from his brush with the unrelenting force of life. it is warm, like a flame, but would consume him whole if he were to see the whole of it. he is thankful that these are but dreams.

the god of death- this one he has encountered least of all. there is something hypnotic about their voice, calm as water and deep as the sea- but he knows it would pull him under in an instant, if he listened for too long. their voice is soothing, but leaves him chilled and shivering. when he wakes, though, he cannot help but feel wistful for that voice, though he knows that is the trick of death.

he feels small, in the face of these great looming presences in his dreams. but still, somehow, he has come to know them.

he only hopes that they never awaken.

Espeon often dreams of exploring the world and seeing lots of new sights! She loves to explore more than anything else - Finding great joy in discovering something new! I mean, who could want more than that?
Though, unfortunately, that did also come with some consequences - Finding new things didn't always mean they were good things.

Now, maybe you'd expect something like 'friendship,' or 'love,' but no, the real answer was the unknown. Odd answer, they know - But it's the truth!
The unknown is something truly amazing, fascinating, even! And it's much more important than most people realize. Not everything needs to be known or explained away. The unknown is what makes life interesting, after all! The good parts, and the bad.
