Duskstar breathed in the fresh morning air, ready to go on an early morning patrol. Dew still covered the grass and wildflowers as the sun peaked out from over the dark horizon. The orange light was cast upon everything the sun could see while deep shadows covered the rest of what it couldn't. Duskstar hoped to be able to catch some unsuspecting prey on their patrol today, using the dim light to their advantage. They set off out of camp and into the wild grass that covered the clan's territory.

and upon the newly bloomed dandelions and clovers, daylight kissed the meadows below, leaving behind beautiful blemishes of dew and loveliest of morning rain.

streams of babbling blues and dappled with sapphires piroutted in the frame of cursive swooping letters, marring the meadows with whispers and endless serenades. serenades that would’ve featured in a fairytale story between forbidden lovers.

beneath the rippling fragments of foaming sapphires and babbling blues, glimmers of iridescent scales bloomed… petals of swiveling fins and delicate flippers.

Eveningstar woke up early this day, excited to go on the first patrol since she had been made leader, rosekit was bouncing around the camp as usual, telling everyone she was going to be the greatest warrior in history. wind ruffled eveningstars fur, and she started to bound down to the clearing. Taking a glance at the camp, she set off toward the tunnel.

The clan had been growing fast and Ramstar was so pleased to see the new faces around. He was also pleased seeing the apprentices and newly trained warriors practicing together. Though today he was here to check in on their newest queen. He had a feeling those two might be a thing and he was in fact correct about it! Ramstar made his way into the nursery den and purred upon seeing Berryheart gently grooming the three new clan members. She sensed someone had arrived and looked up to greet her leader.

"Ramstar! Good day! I assume you are here to see the kits? I'm so proud of them they are such little bundles of joy! Dragonfruit has been blabbering nonstop about them all day haha! If you had told me days ago that this cat wouldn't even leave the den not even to go eat I wouldn't have believed you."

The leader chuckled and bent down to get a better look at the kits. Three perfectly healthy kittens all happily feeding and sleeping. "I am delighted to hear that Berryheart. I remember hearing all those rumors with Dragonfruit about how he wasn't the best father with Firestrike but it is quite a relief seeing how doted he is with the newborns. I wish you two the blessings of the stars with these two. They will make fine warriors one day." The two rubbed heads before Ramstar quietly exited the den. He saw the new father and his first son chatting outside. Perhaps he wanted to spy on them but let out a muffled laugh when seeing the pink cat begin to drag the ruddy tom into the nursery. Seems like the patrol was also ready to set out. Badgerhop and Goatstride were there but if he recalled right there should be three cats? Right the, Dragonfruit came rushing out of the nursery and greeted the other two. Ah, it was him who was the final cat.

"The usual today I believe. It's such a nice day outside too! Man we are lucky I mean a few weeks ago it was freezing and snow all over the ground but now it is all warm and the sun feels so cozy on my fur!" Badgerhop exclaimed with a leap to her steps. The patrol was rather quiet for the start of it. The usual checking of the borders and scenting the air. Though as it went along, Goatstride and Badgerhop began to play around and tussle. Dragonfruit just grumbled and laid down to let them shake off their energy. Might as well get used to this because when their own kits grow up and he takes them out on outings, he for sure will have to stop multiple times and let them explore and play... but that wasn't until later-

"Alright ya two get up! We don't got all day to be slacking off. We're almost done anyways I hope so let's keep on moving and just get this over with!" They hissed before grumbling and stomped away from the two. Said two cats just looked before shrugging their shoulders and bounded off after the dragon cat. "Betcha didn't get a good sign from draco today it seems mister grumpypants haha!" Goatstride chuckled only to be given a cold stare from the other tom. "Sorry- yeah let's keep going."

The black-red tortie quietly purred at the shimmering sight of scales moving about in the river below. With a swift motion, he hooked out the small fish with his sharp claws. Duskstar picks the writhing creature up between his jaws and bites down in the perfect kill spot. The fish ceases its thrashing within no time. Duskstar carries it in his mouth as he continues on his patrol path, getting farther away from the colorful grassy hills that surround CometClan's camp.

Many moons had passed since the patrol where Heatherbreeze and Petal had met their
old SparrowClan mentors once more at the river with Nightstar. The two she-cats even
sometimes would meet up with them in the night to share any important news. The rest
of the Clan had not found out about the tribe, thankfully, and all was peaceful. The two
she-cats had even stumbled upon a group of lost kittens who they picked up, and the
apprentice-aged cats were causing chaos, but the tribe didn't mind having a litter of
kittens around much. Only Apple, the healer ever had problems with the kits, but she
was still warm-hearted toward them. Nightstar had once more asked Petal and
Heatherbreeze to come with him on another hunt, and despite their protests, the kits
couldn't come with them. Petal was many pawsteps ahead, eagerly sniffing at the ground
and focused. Nightstar had wandered off into some undergrowth and was out of sight.
Heatherbreeze sat quietly next to her last kill, waiting for the two to return. She looked
around, watching the clouds that poked through the treetops. Her ears twitched suddenly
when she heard rustling in the leaves behind her. She jumped up and twisted to see what
made the sound. Everything went quiet. She crept over cautiously and began sniffing
around. When she came to a particular bush, a familiar scent filled her nose. Furthermore,
she looked up, and a beehive hung underneath a tree branch just above the bush.
Heatherbreeze snuck behind the bush, the creatures underneath whispering in confusion.
She crawled in behind them as quietly as possible.
"Where did mom go?" The one asked.
"I'm not sure, should we go find her?" The other responded.
"Yeah, I wonder where she went," piped up Heatherbreeze. Two of her kits turned, eyes
wide as they realized they'd been caught. They jumped up and out of the bush, and River,
the one with just slightly more common sense between the two, knocked his head into the
beehive, and a few angry bees chased the apprentice, while Splash, the more problematic
of the two, laughed and teased them. When the bees finally gave up their chase,
Heatherbreeze confronted the two, reminding them that sneaking out of camp can be
dangerous, especially when the tribe was traveling. The two hung their heads in shame,
and Heatherbreeze forced the two to sit with her as she waited for Nightstar and Petal.
Petal returned first and scolded the two kits harsher than Heatherbreeze Had. When
Nightstar returned, he teased them but was still firm. The two were given a hunting lesson
by Nightstar himself, and Heatherbreeze watched on as they practiced, Petal smiled with
pride. [450 words]

StarClan, grant them patience.

They stretched their wings, letting the strawberry hues unfurl against the warmth of the sun’s kiss. A soft grumble died on his tongue as the knot in his shoulder loosened, chasing away the frown buried between his brows. Well, at least for now.

The aura of spring cascaded around them, a sweet melody breathing life into what had died under winter’s reign. Under their paws, tiny petals freckled the soft earth, undulating, along with splashes of color from patches of shrooms. They closed their eyes as the rush of the river rose, sweeping over the newfound silence━

“Watch out, Draco!”

Their head turned. An olive streak sailed through the skies, poised like a diving gull, but… it wasn’t. The angles, the plane, the way the light shunted off the form was all wrong. Too smooth. The streak shimmered, light refracting off from it like a prism. No, like… scales?

They leapt out of the way as the thing flopped onto the ground, struggling. Their claws snared around it, piercing through the olive-toned creature. Thick, gasping lips, round, bulged eyes…

Despite themself, a wry smile curled on their jaws. “A flying fish, huh?” (+4FP bass)

Before them, the two culprits gathered, sodden from their… impromptu fishing spree. A soft, awkward chuckle sprung from one, her claws gently fiddling with a broken stick. “Well… uh at least we caught something?”

It was as if he was lost in a prism.

Lost in a spiralling realm of colors and music with grasslands lush with a hundred hues. Everything here resonated on a different plane, stirring something beyond heart and soul. From the hills, vivid verdants and twirls of rose blush danced, a waltz under the kiss of the gales. freckles of colors dashed across the rolling grasses like a splatter board of paints, bearing a sweet, lovely fragrance.

To the coo of a distant dove, he knelt down near the side of the path, where a trail of emerald beetles marched, one-by-one, little feet moving to their own anthem. Farther up the line, the tiny insects carried something within their manibles. They held it high and proud, lifting it like a gold, swaying flag.

And it seemed, it was… a useful one, too. (+1FP bugs, +1 tormentil)

like an endless breath bloomed from the lips of an evermore, a dark aura had illuminated the ample curve of the tunnel a little ways away.

a startling variance, the dark was of only of the most wilted of flora, cursing daylight with a curse that would last til the end of time. shadows.

as if a shivering rose enthralled by the bittersweet bite of leafbare, a little critter scurried beneath the caress of the dark, daylight dappled upon its ashen frame.
