You've heard tales of caves in the maze, large caverns stretching so wide and tall you can't see the edges, nothing but darkness, and in these caverns lie the Beasts. No one has ever returned, but tales say there are piles upon piles of treasure, ripe for the claiming... Will you venture forth?

You lower the paper you had swiped from a board in town, letting the words ring in the silence. You know where one of these caves is from word of mouth, a friend of a friend of a friend, very reliable you're told.

"Never one to back down from a challenge, a-are you?" A timid voice startles you from your thoughts, and you turn to see a small creature, what you think is some kind of... knight? Oh! It's a chicoon! A fairly small one at that, reaching your shoulders maybe.

As you take in their appearance a bit longer, you start to notice some things that didn't exactly fit... They're teetering back and forth from leg to leg, seemingly very nervous, very unlike a knight! Their armor doesn't look too durable, they have no supplies, and is that a Foam Sword you spy! What is going on here??

You ask the small chicoon all of this and more.

They laugh nervously, fidgeting with the sword, "My name is Mira and I am a Knight! I heard you were going to go looking for the Beasts inside The Maze, and I wanna go too!" At that she strikes a pose with the sword pointing towards the caves.

You blink, and a few seconds pass in frozen silence.

Sighing slightly, you smile at Mira and offer for her to lead the way...

As you and Mira venture down the hallway, you can feel the growling reverberating in your chest, and apprehension rising along with it. Mira stops, pulling a second sword from nowhere and wordlessly hands it to you, face set into one of determination. You press forward, hands wrapping around your strangely plush weapon.

As you reach a fork, you can see both hallways open up into caverns, and the glistening catches your eye from both directions.

Treasure... Which way will you choose?
