Prompt:
The four pokemon sat around a table, quite an eclectic little gang. At the center of their gathering was a bowl of candy corn, so far untouched.
The salamence was the first to speak. "Well? Your missions? They've gone well, I take it?"
"Oh yes, Miss Amy!" Mona chirped. "My new friends are so nice, they gave me sweet wood for dancing with them!" Amenamuon was about to respond, but was interrupted by the teddiursa's quickly added: "Can I have candy now?"
The dragon sighed. "Fine."
There was a squeal of joy from Mona, followed by the small pokemon quickly clambering onto the table and grabbing a pawful of the goods. She'd rolled in a tumble of fluff to the floor and scrambled out the door before Amenamuon could stop her.
The great dragon turned to the remaining party. "Harold. Your success?"
She recieved the warfurs's blank, unblinking stare. "Harold? Can you hear me?" The creature seemed to draw his paw into pelt by pulling it back through the sleeve, leaving it floppy for a moment before the arm pushed through it again, this time clutching some sort of soggy blue fungus.
Amenamuon barely kept herself from recoiling. "Good... good work. Harold. How about you leave that on the table, okay?" Harold complied, but his gaze never left the dragon. The paw that had deposited the fungus moved to grab a clump of candy corn, and it, too, was maneuvered into his pelt through the sleeve.
Amenamuon ignored it. "And my lord, Arceus."
She paused.
"What are you doing."
Arceus had one of its spindly legs prodding at the candy dish, eventually flipping a kernel of candy corn onto the table. Its entire massive head lowered toward the table, but its mouth was unable get close enough to the piece of candy to bite it. The point of the silver helmet on its chin prevented further progress.
"Do you need help, my lord." It was not a question, it was a statement.
With remarkable speed, Harold leapt from the floor to the table in one fluid motion and flicked the kernel into Arceus's maw with a single paw. The deity chewed. Then hummed. "Oh
my, thank you, Harold, that was quite kind of you. Could you do that again?"
Amy sighed.
She could get the rest of the report later.
