Jazz stood overtop of the apple bobbing barrel, next to Error. Error stared directly at the barrel, a look of determination in his eyes.

"You're definitely not going to get one." Jazz shook his head, leaning down to examine the barrel. He always felt like games like this had been rigged.
"You underestimate my ability to grab things with my muzzle." Error glanced toward him, stomping a paw on the ground, "Just watch. Let's make this a bet. You owe me a favour if I get this."
Jazz laughed, tilting his head, "Yeah ok, go on then."

With that, Error swiftly dunked his head into the water, almost plashing Jazz, however the Flareon hopped back enough to not get hit.
It didn't take long for Error to lift his head back up. Taking Jazz's paw, the Ninetales placed a frozen apple into it.
"So?" Error had a look of triumph.
"Alright, alright, you got me there." Jazz smiled, shaking his head, "A favour is owed, you win."
Error laughed, leading to Jazz laughing as well.
"I told you so, Jazz."

Pocket knelt in front of the barrel, eyeing the water it contained doubtfully. "How many Pokemon have shoved their faces into this, you think?"

"Hmm... well, at least as many as have drooled or shed in it." The Balcepheon's voice was light and cheerful - teasing - as she stood behind her husband and peered down at the water over his shoulder.

"You're not helping."

"No? Well... maybe this will." O stepped back to give herself space and rummaged for a moment in the folds of her ruff. Then, with a triumphant flourish, she pulled out a rectangle of paper. "Yes? No?" The object caught the light as she held it aloft, revealing itself to a photograph.

Pocket instantly turned bright red. "Put that AWAY, you ninny! People will SEE!"

"If you manage to get an apple out of there, I'll give it to you." Ignoring the mime's agitation, O waved the photo lazily, apparently unconcerned with who saw and who didn't. "Negatives too. Then no one will ever know how carried away you got at the Solstice party last year..."

Pocket was silent for a moment, then, suddenly, he turned and grasped tightly the edges of the barrel. "You're so ON."

Apple bobbing! Canon's face lit up with a devious grin as he bounded toward the arts and crafts booth. He was determined to show the others up at it- especially after Skittle had teased him about being too scared to get his fur wet. Hmph. He'd show them! He'd show them all!

Strutting proudly up to the booth, Canon took his place beside the tub of apples and plunged his head in without hesitation. Water flew everywhere in a massive splash, splattering both him and several other participants.

"Shee? 'Ake 'at, Schkittle," He announced around the large red apple in his mouth when he withdrew. Despite the water, Canon's fur was all fluffed up with pride- but the other pokemon around him looked less impressed, probably because they were now dripping with water.

Eo stared at the barrel. Apple... bobbing? Just pick up an apple with their mouth?

It seemed too simple. The great scoop that Eo's lower half afforded them was more of a bucket than a muzzle. But as a nearby deino plopped its head in the barrel and came out with an apple, Eo was reassured that their understanding was correct.

They climbed onto the stump with a flap of their wings for stability and scoped out several of the floating fruits. Red and green and gold-... Eo submerged their head into the water, blowing a few bubbles from their snout, and then opened their maw as wide as they could manage. Water flooded in. It was a strange sensation, growing stranger still when a few solid objects joined the sloshing liquid in their mouth.

They tilted their head over the side of the barrel and let the contents of their maw fall to the ground.

Six-... seven apples fell onto the grass. And the barrel was looking significantly more empty.

Lester being one of the best Pokemon to do able bobbing would step forward for the team, a big mouth was the best to catch all the apples right! That was what he needed to do, get all the apples into his mouth... right? Needless to say that was not what he was supposed to do.. but he got the apples! That's all that matters... Even if everyone else got annoyed with him who wanted to play the game in the end...

Squirt the Pelipper was no stranger to carrying things in his massive beak. Everyone around him expected him to simply scoop up every apple at once and show them off, but little did they know he had a much more sinister plan. He had hidden a very realistic rubber snake in his beak, and when he dunked his head in to “bob for apples”… he screamed! All the Pokémon stopped and stared at him as he spit out the fake snake. Several ran away in terror, while others just stood frozen in place.
Squirt is no meanie though, he picked up the snake and showed the crowd that it was, in fact, rubber.

Minnow's eyes lit up when she spotted pokemon crowding around something and talking excitedly. She craned her neck to get a better look but couldn't see through the groups of pokemon, she turned to Maelstrom and tapped on his leg.

He glanced down at her with a questioning look and she pointed towards the groups of pokemon. Maelstrom helped to push through and when they were standing in front of a trough full of apples and pokemon trying to get them in their mouths Minnow scrunched up her nose in confusion.

Maelstrom leaned towards her and quietly explained the game, pointing out the prizes to her. Minnow wandered up to the edge and waited for her turn. When the other pokemon who dived down for apples, struggled and had to come back up for air, she stayed put in the water. Taking her time to fish out an apple with ease. Unlike the other competitors, she was able to breathe on both land and water.

She was the first to emerge with an apple, it was too big and hurt her healing throat but she didn't care, Minnow beamed at Muffin when the prize was handed to her.
