Prompt(s): (109 words) May-Reo was not afraid of getting into fights, it was only guilt that prevented him from getting into more fights because of how much his trainer would fret, so hearing about the drilbur hoarding the Rhubarb did not deter him.

Salvia on the other hand, did not like fighting and argued that they should simply sneak in and take as much rhubarb as they could before the Drilbur caught them.

Naturally the two of them settled the dispute with a coin toss-- of which Salvia won. So like two sneaky thieves, they sneaked past the Drilbur, grabbed as much Rhubarb as they could tie to May-Reo and booked it.

Earl watched the Drilbur pace around the garden. The rhubarb was in plain sight, all he had to do was grab it and flee, but finding an opening seemed impossible. As he weighed his options, the Drilbur suddenly looked directly at his hiding spot.

"You! You want to steal my rhubarb, don't you? Come on, then, fight me!" he yelled. Earl, seeing no other option, floated out of the shrub he was hiding in.

"We don't have to fight, you kn-" his words were cut off by a weak Mud Shot smacking into him.

He grumbled something about it staining his fur, before taking a sharp inhale, and letting out his newest attack, Ice Beam. The Drilbur, seeing the super effective attack, burrowed underground to dodge. It became clear that he wasn't going to pop back up, and Earl floated towards the rhubarb.

Mission success.

Bav was thrilled to go on a solo expedition for Team Orchard. Baking a pie delicious enough to share the recipe with everyone would be great to show how much he has grown. Auntie's posted recipe list seems intriguing! While Bav doesn't think rhubarb is all that interesting, the marshtomp glove sounds like it would entice anyone to eat more and adds a whole new meaning to the idea of fitting in more desert after a long meal.

Bav bottled the sample of fungi and carefully plotted a path through the swamp. There were a few detours to grab food from the more bountiful meadows and paths he crossed. Bav was entrusted to the mission, but no one ever said he had to be very quick with it! It was foggy when Bav arrived and the air was thick with pungent air that releases from the waters. It looks like he will have to use more than just his nose to spot the fungus.

There seemed to be tricks of the eye with lights flickering in his vision. Trees seemed to sway and move as he passed. It sounds like he might have a hard time finding his way out, let alone finding the mushroom at all! He sniffed his sample and scoured the swamp with great difficulty.

He took to rest at a tree. Yet, the tree started to shift behind him! It turns out he was seeing trees move, the trevenant didn't like being leaned on. However, it didn't mind being asked for directions. Seems like the mushroom is rather popular for the pokemon that forage this area. Bav collected a few blooms and set back to Auntie's shop to crush into seasoning powder.

1. Rhubarb will add a tart flavor to your pie! This one is right out in the garden, but a Drilbur sometimes tries to fight when I try to get some... He really enjoys the rhubarb it seems, hoo!

Charlotte calmly approaches the Drilbur and uses her melotic voice to sooth him as she talks to him. "Hey Drilbur, I know you really like the Rhubarb but I'm gonna need to take just a little bit so that I can make a pie with it! If you like Rhubarb so much I promise I'll give you a slice of it. Does that sound fair?" The Drilbur seems happy with this and even excited to get some pie out of the deal. Charlotte only takes the exact amount she needs before thanking the Drilbur and going to collect the rest of her ingredients.

2. Pinkan Berry adds a pink color to your pie! This berry is imported at the market. Though beware... The merchant will take some heavy bartering. It might be tough to get your hands on one of these berries if you don't find something to offer! You can look around the area before you go if you need something to haggle with.

Charlotte seems a little bit intimidated by the stoic and unmoving merchant she was in line to buy from. She had just seen him deal with the Pokemon a few turns ahead of her and he didn't seem willing to budge over anything! She had no idea how she'd convince him to part with the berries in extange for the few measily coins she had left. Her ears seem to droop even lower than normal if that was possible. Just as she was about to give up she heard the shouting of another merchant in the area.

"Find the coin under the shell, quadruple your money! That's right folks, I said Quadruple! Where else could you ever get this kinda deal from?"

Charlotte glowered a bit at the Pokemon shouting. He was clearly a scammer and not even using a new trick. Not that it mattered, there were always people around who would fall for it. It wouldn't do any good for her to pay attention to him. Unless....

"I'll take that bet!"

Charlotte jingles on up to the scammer sweetly and sits down in front of him, putting all but a single coin in front of her.
"Is this enough?"

The scammer smiles and nods eagerly "Yes yes of course, now watch the three shells as I move them around and pick up the one with the coin under it! If you choose wisely I will quadruple your bet!

Charlotte nods innocently and does as the scammer says. She pretends to be watching carefully but doesn't really pay attention. She knew there wasn't a coin under any of them so she'd just have to get one there herself. As she picks one up she stealthily slips a coin under it so it looks like it had been there the whole time.

It took about half an hour and the pressure of several other pokemon getting involved to finally get the furious scam artist to pay up but eventually Charlotte found herself cheerfully jingling her way back to the merchant's stall, the exact amount of coins she needs in hand.

She went to hand it over to the merchant but he just laughed and waved it away. "I have watched that pokemon cause problems here way too long. He was infuriating. I doubt he will be back here any time soon now that you chased him off. Take the berries as a thank you."
Charlotte thanks him profusely before leaving the market. This pie sure was going to be a good one, she could feel it!


3. Sweet Wood adds an aroma of cinnamon and cardamom to your pie! A friendly colony of fairy type pokemon deeper into the woods cultivate the trees in which this spice bark grows! They don't give this fragrant wood to just anyone though, so try befriending them! Otherwise my reputation with them may get a bit tarnished if they find out i sent you.. Heem...

Charlotte enters the realm of the colony singing a soft and reverent song to show respect to them. As a singer she was talented and before long she had drawn a crowd of fairy type Pokemon to her. She sang of joy and friendship and of longing and magic. She sang of her desire to evolve into a Sylveon some day and join them in their mysterious beauty. She sang to the children of adventure and bravery and to the elders songs of long ago that they hadn't heard in years. By the end of her concert the whole Colony was there to listen and they went wild with their approval. To thank her for her time and effort in entertaining them they were happy to give her as much Sweet Wood as she needed for her pie and she parted as a friend to them all.


4. Marshtomp Glove adds a gourmandian charm to your pie! This is a swampy fungus that you'll have to travel for, but the umami this tasty mushroom brings to the table is so potent that you'll never feel full! I need to make a powder with this as a light seasoning, be careful not to inhale the spores... They smell fragrant too, but you won't be able to help yourself from gorging on these tasty morsels!

On Aunties advice, Charlotte plugs up her nose before arriving to the swamp region to seek out the Marshtomp Glove. The trip itself is uneventful but after arriving there she is unable to find any Marshtomp Gloves! After a frustrating few hours she manages to come across them by sheer chance and not how she was hoping to find them!

A large Swampert was gorging himself on them and generally just making a huge mess of the place. At this rate there wouldn't be any of the Marshtomp Glove left for the pie! There was no way she could fight the Swampert and win but maybe if she strategized she could make it work. She positioned herself in the exact right spot to make her move and then run. Then at the exact right moment.... Charlotte used Covet and caught Swampert off guard! Charlotte managed to steal the Marshtomp Glove! Charlotte fled the battle! Running as fast as she could Charlotte managed to dart out of the area before the Swampert could even turn to face her. Success! Now all she had to do was get the heck out of there.

Prompt(s): Alex gave a light smile, as he allowed Smith to ride in his apron pocket. "Now don't eat the sweets in there, those are for any friends we might meet," he says, voice kind but firm. Smith nodded, looking back up. But they very much intended to at least swipe one or two while Alex was not looking. Further they traveled, until they came into the woods. All around them was the smell of cinnamon and cardamon. Perfect for fall!

"Ah hello!" Alex greeted. "We were hoping you all might like to try our shop's famous sweet donuts!" He reached down, where Smith hands up a freshly baked and wrapped pair of donuts. "Maybe exchange a few stories I can tell back at the shop? I do so love meeting new people!" Smith nodded giving a soft cuff. They did too!

"What is that delightful smell by the way? I could smell it a mile away!" And so it was that the pair spent an entire afternoon there, making friends, exchanging stories and treats, and coming back with a pile of sweet wood to try in all the kinds of baking they dared!

Bass flitters from root to root through the mangroves, keeping his eyes peeled for any sign of the Marshtomp Glove. In truth, he thinks a mammalian mon would be a much better pick for this specific task, but he'd never admit it. Working against his poor sense of smell, he just keeps looking and looking and looking. The appearance of the plant is drilled into his brain, a blue and orange, angular fungus that grows in batches of two or three. He refuses to return to Auntie Appletun empty-footed, so Basilisk keeps flying onwards.

He thinks, a patch of blue and orange against all the dull green, mud brown, and muck black. It can't be that hard, can it?

Despite that, it feels like hours that Bass spends flickering from high perch to high perch, searching with only his eyes to guide him. Surely she could have given him more hints or information, but then again he didn't ask, so who's to blame?

Growing weary and unsure, his whole perspective shifts when he sees it: a little cluster of blue-orange mushrooms! Basilisk twitters cheerfully and swoops down to snap up the stems in his beak. Lucky for him, the worst the fungi does is make him sneeze. Over and over and over again. But at least he doesn't have the urge to eat his day's work on his return back to the woods of Wandermere.

Ashen bid farewell to Rylee who she left at Auntie Applebum's Cottage. Rylee hesitantly bid her farewell as she dissapeared into the thick forest.

The mangroves was watery and Ashen was loving it. Prancing around in the puddles while searching for the hard to find Marshtomp Gloves. Eventually her eyes were set on the morsels nearby a mangrove tree. Ashen tried to recall what Auntie Applebum had told her not to do.

She sat there until she recalled it, no smelling, yep. That was it, don't smell the delicious things or you'll eat them all up.

So Ashen held her breath as she scurried over to the morsels, holding it all the way back to the cottage (which she definitely wouldn't recommend). Finally she was able to crush the gloves into a power to add to the pie.:

The ghost moved carefully through the wood, heading in the direction Auntie had mentioned the fairy colony lived. He had a small bag filled with various foods he had heard fairy types particularly enjoyed and planned to offer it as gift to them and then maybe ask about the wood or perhaps he could ask first and then offer the food? He was unsure but pressed on anyway. It took only a short time before he came upon the home of the fairy types.

A Milcrey was the first one to spot him and approach with a kind smile on its face.

"Is there something you need or want?" She asked Siren gently, either sensing or seeing his nervousness.

"Ah, um. I need some Sweet Wood, please" he stammered softly and began digging through his bag. "I brought some baked goods with me, they can uh either be a trade or um a gift" were his next spoken words as he brought out the small box t.

"And what exactly would you be needing the wood for?" Came the Milcreys question.

"To infuse the flavour from the smoke into a pie Auntie Appletun is making" he replied.

"You're with Auntie?! Well why didn't you say so sooner, we'll 100% give you the wood, as any friend of Aunties who brings goodies is a friend of ours!" Milcrey chirped eagerly

Aisha's nature talent for baking cookies was to come to use now, the art of baking is sure to brings friends together. Their plan was to share their delicious homemade recipe to the fairy friends amongst the foreign woods.

Upon arriving, she opened her small eyes to take in their surroundings. The slight purple hue of the bark, and sweet smell of pollen rich within the air. Cutieflies filled the skies with their friendly dancing with one another. Small shelf mushrooms climbed up the sides of the trees creating staircases and pedastools who called this woods home. It was truly a one of kind community to be part of. Now to find out who's the bearer of the sweet wood.

Gently sitting down the basket of sweet smelling cookies in the middle of the clearing and pulling back the blanket which once hid them, to fully allow the aroma to meet the fairy friends. Quickly the cutiefly's started floating down to investigate the sweet baked goods. Eyes of many more peeked out from around the trees to watch the yellow espeon carefully.

Aisha sat down beside her basket and wrapped her tail around her silhouette comfortably, here they would wait and give out her cookies to the natives hoping for a gift of sweet wood in return. [217 words]
