This little birdie friend follows them around as a means of protection and companionship because it has no where else to go, shipped away from its home in a dense forest by two-legs that tore their nesting trees from the earth and chopped them to bits to send off. It spent many moons wailing woefully, separated from its friends and family, trapped withing the twisting confines of a cold narrow-barred cage far too small for comfort. After a long and dizzying trip to unknown lands enclosed within the confined space in pitch black darkness, the rolling and jumping finally came to a stop and light began to flood in- at first just a horizontal sliver far below, soon a big bright square of blinding sunlight. The others around the little bird who had chattered nervously the whole way began to squawk and scream as the two-legged tall creatures lifted the cages with lanky arms and slinked off into the glowing world beyond, it watched only in terror as its little comfort of others experiencing the same left. There was a time where the two-legged beings began to mutter nervously and even disappeared for a while, that is when the deep, rich furred cat appeared to them. Not quite a kitten, not quite full grown it leapt up into the open box truck, sniffing around with curiosity as the other caged birds murmured warily. The cat looked up to the stacked birds, they had a cautious look in their own eye but their tail tip twitched occasionally, intrigued.

They attempted to climb the stacks of cages, some empty, trying to reach where the little bird held tightly for dear life to the cold wire of the cage, shrieking fearfully as claws caught the empty cage below them and it began to tumble, the little bird with it. In the dizzying confusion the cage landed with a great clatter to the floor of the tin walled truck, the other birds went absolutely mad with noise and the cat reared back in its own terror, fur on its spine standing straight up as it let out a warning sound. The bird wiggled off its back on the ground, where the side of the cage met the floor, to find the cage's opening overhead had popped open. As the cat took off, shouting nearing, the little bird felt its heart beating out of its chest. It had to go, it knew absolutely nothing of where it was or what divine intervention may have caused this as a light mist began to roll from the forest beyond the light, but it knew it had to go right then. Without any other hesitation, bright wings stretched outward, although they were sore and its vision still swam the bird stumbled through the air after the small chocolate coated cat. They may not see the world the same, but the bird's loneliness led it to trust that its liberator would welcome its companionship. Or at least entertain it.
