Lupin's fur felt hot, the ocean sounds aginst his ears crushing and loud he was breathless, the ship ride here was long and tiresome. The feline sighed and walked up the steep human-worn steps weaving in and out of the throngs of legs and hummed as he got to the main square, his scarf fluttering and he turned slightly and blinked. A dark brown and tan tabby peered at him from above, laying quietly on a box.

Lupin never mentions afterwards that the tom grinned when he caught Lupin's eyes on him.
