The summit, as we all know, was based on a real location - but there is a ton of lore and history behind this clan that one might not guess based on their surroundings. Long before the summit came into existence, their territory housed a mining camp, which has now fallen into disrepair. The clan calls this area the ruins, and they expand upon these miners’ tunnels and caves. Their relics dot the territory, but other…things remain as well. This is a recent discovery - as the summit expands, they unearth their history and their past. They unearth ghosts.
And not just figuratively - the carvers are unwittingly unleashing malicious ghosts and spirits into the tunnels as they dig. The trail runners, in their ceaseless exploration, are discovering ghosts in unlikely places. Drizzle, although nameless to the living, lurks in the depths of shiver lake, and several others have been found in the tunnels.
Columbine, the young and unlikely centennial, isn’t quite sure what to do about this fact.

while horizon's peak is known for their magical manifestations of wings, what most do not know is that these wings aren't genetic and will not pass down to kits by genetics, but rather by if they're horizon born or not. when born into the horizon, kits are guaranteed to sprout wings, but if a member of the horizon leaves the clan and has kits, their kits will not sprout wings unless they join the horizon themselves. nobody is sure to why this is, but everyday the sorcerers of the clan are learning new things about their magic and where it comes from.
