The truth is, it terrifies them. As a kitten, they had been relaxing in a small pool of water when lightning struck. It was only through sheer luck that she herself was not hit worse, although it left its mark on her nonetheless! Seeing dead fish float up afterwards, seeing the burnt leaves and smelling the air, she associated water with death afterwards and to this day is very skittish of standing pools of it!

Batcloud has a sort of 'luck' about being in a situation of water. They don't mind dipping their toe beans in but a full body experience is a NO. With their big ears, they tend to get water in them easily and it disorientates them very much. From flash floods, falling in rivers as they cross logs, to even his own clan mates dropping leaves holding water - like make shift water balloons- he always manages to get uncomfortably wet at least once a day.

Rain is probably one of the most cowardly cats in the Tribe.
But there's one thing - one thing - that many cats fear.

But he doesn't.

That's water. If he loves anything more than his Tribe, it's water. He goes out to swim and catch fish whenever he has a chance.
I mean, he's a cave-guard - they don't get to leave the Tribe often.

When he does leave the Tribe for a mini-patrol, he always goes straight to the water (or as we call it, ocean).
He swims, he has fun, he splashes his friends (who run away, terrified) and he plays with Tail of Small Tiger.

Tiger is one of the only cats in the Tribe who loves water as much as him. Well, that's why they're best friends.
Whenever Rain and Tiger are out swimming, they do contests and splash eachother.

But, how Rain feels about water? Read his journal entry to know.

Dear Journal,

Hi, it's me, Rain! Today I want to tell you how I feel about water.
Honestly, I don't think even remember my life before I went for my first swim as a to-be.

I remember swiping at the water with my paw; the others looked strangely at me, as if something was wrong.
I stepped into the water, and I felt more happiness than I could handle. It was amazing.

One day, one of the to-bes, Tail of Small Tiger, went on her first patrol. Of course, I had to go with her.
That's because no one wanted to go with her except for me.

I'm telling you, Journal, it was like watching my first patrol all over again. She loved water.
Maybe she loved it even more than me, but I felt like I just met my best friend. And I did just meet her.

I don't know how, but she kind of made my love for water grow; I was always so excited to go on a patrol, because we'd both play together inside the cool water, and we even do to this day.

I just love water, y'know? More than I can describe.
And I hope more cats out there, more unique cats, love it just as much as me and Tiger.
Because if they dont, they're really missing out.
Rain out.

It's true that water is wet and gross for some cats, and it is also very true that I... Like water. But calm ones tho not the ones that can swept you away and drown you. And-" while minnowSpark continues his talk about his daily water habit and why is water is very good, the apprentice got bored and ran away from the boring and very loooonnnnggggg talk.

At the end the apprentice just started playing with their den mate and then minnowSpark just finished his looong talk, he looks there was no one there. MinnowSpark looks around *shrugs*. MinnowSpark thought he was talking to him self but oh well.

Prompt: Riverlily has always hated water, despite living near it. As a young kit, he had been lead astray by a strange cat that lead him to the river before attempting to drown him. Eveningstar (Eveningdawn at the time) luckily found them half dead on the river bank and managed to bring him back to the clan and have him nursed back to health. since then, Riverlily refuses to go on patrols near the river near the camp.

It is not uncommon for Twoface to submerge himself to become one with the water, only leaving his nose and eyes visible to others. Prompt: Arariel's feelings were always quite strong about water, this feeling being adoration and love. After all, water was a Birthgiver of life in the Middle Realm. Water was a gift from the Third Nameless Soul to the humans, along with the rest of the Birthgivers of life: fire, air, and earth. These four kept the Middle Realm in a lovely balance, and kept the humans that roamed the world safe.
Arariel would know, because in one of her reincarnations- the one she looked most fondly back on- she was a human. Not just any human, though. Back in ancient times, she served the Third Nameless Soul with strong dedication, and for her servitude, her and three others were charged with the powers of the Birthgivers. Her Birthgiver was water, and with this, she quenched the thirst of her people and helped provide them food by giving them the animals of the sea.
But one day, the Third Nameless Soul disappeared and all four of the Birthgivers' servants died. They found their souls recovered by the First Nameless Soul, and given a second chance as an angel. Arariel accepted, and for many reincarnations after, she kept her water powers and used them to assist the First Nameless Soul.
However… Things were not well in the Middle Realm. Without the Third Nameless Soul and the Birthgivers' servants to look after the world and its creatures, the Middle Realm fell into disrepair. The humans degraded into weak little creatures. The Birthgivers became violent and caused so much death in the form of natural disasters. The Middle Realm became a shell of its former self.
And every time Arariel heard about it, she wanted to cry and grieve for the lost glory of her realm, for the lost Nameless Soul she worshiped.
So… In this reincarnation, when the First Nameless Soul offered for her to become a Hunter, she was overjoyed.
Not because she wanted to hunt. No, hunting seemed rash. She wanted to return to her old realm and restore it to its former glory, using the power of water.
