what makes dust the happiest is the unique feeling that the crisp air of winter gives him. as the cold sets in and he begins to see fallen leaves on his hunts, every winter early in the morning dust will climb up the great trunk of mother tree to a spot he found while exploring as a sapling. he likes to gaze out over the tree line and watch the leaves that have turned yellow, orange and red, alight the groves in what seemed like gentle flames. their territory becoming a colorful land with bare patches showing the forest floor they once were shaded under, almost like a fading beauty painful but in itself beautiful as well.

his fur prickled at the idea of running along the forest floor across the territory and down the mountain which cradled the groves. sometimes he thinks of seeking new places away from the tribe, he could always turn to the life of the nomads. travelling and exploring wherever and what ever they wish. he closed his eyes and took a deep breath of the crisp air, that life may be too big of a leap right now but who knew what the future may hold.

The cat that lay before flicker was not doing well. Their suffering was evident in their struggled breath, and hollow flanks that told of exposure to illness. He could feel desperation welling up in his chest, at the hopelessness of such a pitiful case. The cat before him was Wolf Running Under Moon, and his body was beginning to be taken by green cough. Flicker of Auburn Rays turned their gaze to the left, where their fellow healer, Loon that Rushes on Water worked tirelessly to ease the ill tom's suffering. Flick could not help but see how hopeless the case was. A mortal had brought the illness here, and stagnant cats were far from prepared to deal with the outbreak (although they had dealt with something similar before.) "Loon, it's no use." Loon shook his head vigorously in denial of Flicker's statement. Flicker felt his heart surge at the look of determination on Loon's face. He admired, even loved, the determination Loon took when it came down to his job as a healer. "It's alright Loon. I don't think there's anything more we can do. We should let him rest." Flicker insisted, and rose, gently pushing Loon that Rushes on Water away from the trembling body of the ill cat.

The two embraced for a long moment, with Loon tucking his head into Flicker's chest fur. "I hate not being able to help. I hate feeling helpless and watching them suffer." Flick closed his eyes against the rush of emotions he felt in response to Loon's suffering. "I know Loon, I know." the pair remained like that for a while, comforted in one another's presence. Flick always felt better when he was near to Loon. "We'll make it through, we always do. It just might take bit this time."

Sparkstarter loves fire! He would tell you it lights up his world, he's a real pun master. He'll always manage to find a lighter and snag it off of a human. He doesn't burn things too often, but when he does, he sits and watches it burn until it goes out. Once, he lit a firework because he thought it looked like a candle, but when he heard it sizzle he ran and watched it explode.
Another thing, he brings his candles with him everywhere, although, leaving most in his den when traveling. He has a load of unique tricks he's picked up with his candles, like juggling them and waving it around with his tail, which he's practically trained to be able to use as an arm. Another thing he loves, showing off.
He's been named half medicine cat, as he often receives prophecies from his fires when he lights his candles in The Springs, the place where Starclan can communicate with the clan cats. Even before joining Hollowclan, he received messages which he learned to decipher from the "star cats" as he called them, they brought him joy, as they made his fire even more unique.

Ever since they first met, Maple became a focal point in Ember's life. Her bright, bubbly attitude contrasted drastically to his more quiet, reserved disposition. Although he had a dark past, Maple has offered a bright, hopeful future. Ember couldn't have wished for anything better.
