hand with ease. they come in all sorts of colors, patterns, and
personalities, and make great companions! they are granted
life when their ribbon is tied, and as long as their ribbon stays
around their neck they will live, presumably, forever!

prompt:
a small, dirty cat toddles up to you, seemingly lost and looking to you for some assistance. you were in the middle of hike and were stopped in a large open field filled with dandelions. "why hello there little fellow !" you say softly, as to not scare the cat off, "are you lost ?". the cat shuffles slightly, letting out a small meow, it seems to have agreed with what you said. you sigh, and reach down to scoop it up, "don't worry, i'll keep you safe lil guy. " your eyes trace over the small creature in your hands, stopping at its tail, " oh ! it seems you belong here. " it had a dandelion for a tail, how neat ! the cat turned in your hand, giving you a better view of its tail, showing it off almost, proudly? you laughed as it turned about, making proud meows and purrs to show off its healthy tail. "well, would you like to join me little dandelion ? i'm almost done with my hike and i can clean you up at my house, how does that sound ?" the small cat meowed excitedly and stumbled up your arm onto your shoulder, taking a seat by your head. it began to purr loudly as you laughed and pat its head with your finger. you set off again, now towards home with your new found friend, your little dandelion.

[Short Story]
Cookie bounded happily towards his best friend fully intending to tackle him excitedly. At the last minute Cinnamon's ear twitched and he dived out of the way of the incoming tackle hug, leaving Cookie to tumble into a heap next to him.

"Awww Cin why'd ya do that?!" Cookie whined pouting up at the other Forever Cat.

Cinnamon calmly pretended to groom himself, "Because I have an important place to be today and I can't have you ruffling up my fabric."

Cookie slowly unheaps himself, flapping his wings out, "What's so important?" He asks curiously looking around for any evidence someone special is visiting their empty shop today. There was no sign of anything different that he could see.

"I'm visiting the abandoned church, there's supposed to be a vampire in there!" Cinnamon says, unable to keep the excitement at the prospect of seeing a real Vampire out of his voice.

"Can I come along? That's awful far to walk all alone on little fabric legs." Cookie comments, privately thinking it's also probably dangerous and there might not even be a vampire.

Cinnamon thinks squinting at his best friend for a moment before nodding "Sure...." He shrugs, might as well have company for the walk over.

Cookie bounces happily when Cinnamon agrees running excitedly little circles around his best friend "Okay! Let's go find that Vampire!" He cheers, immediately forgetting about his reservations about this very idea not 5 minutes ago. He bounds ahead looking back to Cinnamon excitedly.

"Come on!" He cheers.

Cinnamon just shakes his head amused and bounces after Cookie ready to finally meet a real live Vampire.

Short Story:
Shizu had always been obsessed with colored glass and stained glass. She wanted to have a stained glass window of her own someday ever since she was little. One day on her birthday her best friend decided to make her a little plastic ordainment with paint on it to give it the stained glass appearance. It was blue, pink and light purple with flowers and butterflies painted on it. She has had it with her every day since she got it and is a very precious to her.

Short Story:

Maia is an apothecary shop apprentice for a fantastical world, she assists with magical afflictions such as floating suddenly, shrinking, turning into a goose and sprouting mushrooms wherever they step. While she is exceptionally skilled at what she does, she is still learning and trying to perfect her potion brewing and magical spell casting.

Maia came from a family of magicians who own a museum for enchanted artifacts. Maia became fascinated by the world around her and studying the science behind magic, when she had the opportunity to take up apprenticeship at the local apothecary, she simply couldn't pass it up.

Maia has spent years studying magic and the side effects of certain spells and has even written books on them to pass on her findings to other curious minds,
she has even gained a little bit of fame for her research!

Maia is also on a quest for an ancient book that belonged to her family many, many years ago, but was lost when they moved to the city. The book has been missing for years and contains the knowledge and wisdom of the other magicians in her family, her intention is to translate the findings from the book and share it with anyone who may need its help.

During her last expedition in search of her family's book, Maia was searching the gemstone caverns by her old home, her headlamp attached snug in place and her friends and mentor by her side. The cavern twinkled and glistened in the glow of the lamps, illuminating the cave and its beautiful crystals when suddenly-

Something very large began to stir in the deepest parts of the cave, something so strong and formidable that it shook some crystals loose from the walls! The group began to turn back, but their headlamps all went dark at once and they couldn't see their own paws! A booming voice echoed from the cave, demanding to know who was trespassing inside, but when Maia began to explain their dilemma, something wonderful happened.

The cave sparked to life as electricity hummed through brilliant crystals, illuminating the cave for all to see, and a great Electric Dragon emerged, he was surprisingly friendly and was just worried that the group would disturb the Fairy Axolotl that rested in the waters below, as there were only a few of them left in the world and he had taken on the responsibility of caring for them. He explained that he had not seen such a book,
but if he came across it he'd be more than happy to let Maia know. While she didn't leave with her family's writings, she did leave with enchanted water, some magical crystals and a new friend in the Electric Dragon.
