forever cats, more commonly known as fcats, are a species of
handmade plush kittens, small enough to fit in the palm of your
hand with ease. they come in all sorts of colors, patterns, and
personalities, and make great companions! they are granted
life when their ribbon is tied, and as long as their ribbon stays
around their neck they will live, presumably, forever!

♡ artists are welcome to make paid adopts!
♡ artists will get one common myo upon hire, and an
uncommon myo for every month they are active!
♡ an artist must make at least 3 adopts a month, one
must be free, to be considered active!
♡ guest artists will be hired for a month or so, and are
able to make up to 4 adopts during their time as a ga!
♡ guest artists are allowed to use unlimited common and
uncommon traits in their adopts, and 1 rare trait in an adopt!
after the 4 adopts are made they will get an uncommon myo!
♡ guest artists may possibly be promoted to full artist!

forever cats are handmade plushies, small enough to easily fit in the palm of your hand. their traits, patterns, and personalities differ between fcat to fcat, but they are always feline-esque and have a ribbon (or in rare cases, some other neck-ornament) that holds their lifeforce. they come from all different places- handmade, from a few companies that specialize in creating fcats, passed down for generations. the magic that enchants the ribbons includes a moment of true positive emotion- excitement, relief, happiness, caring, love.

there are stores and shops (like our very own Seamtress's Shop!) that specialize in fcats, and they are companions and family members to people all over the world. children often receive a brand new fcat as birthday or holiday gifts, and there are families who have taken care of an fcat for generations and generations. and still, there are fcats who have been forgotten or lost, fending for themselves in dark woods or cramped alleyways. no matter where they come from though, they all are looking for a loving home, a place to call their own!!


bits of trivia and facts, not fully developed lore yet;;

♡ the seamstress, who now can be found running the shop and having tea with the locals in her off time, was the first to ever make an fcat, some say she was the one who created them in the first place. no one knows how old she is or what she actually is, but she's been here as long as anyone can remember, can see fine despite her lack of normal human eyes, and gives the warmest hugs.

♡ fcats can talk to humans!! they are made of magic, and likewise so is their voice. they know the languages they grew up with, like any human, and can learn multiple if given enough time and effort! they can also speak to normal animals, although few normal animals are fond of them.

♡ if a ribbon is taken off, the fcat is no longer animated- they are the same as any normal plush, soft and cute but without the spark of life and laughter held inside their ribbon. because of this, ribbons are often secured very snugly to their neck, and are guarded carefully. touching another fcat's ribbon (and a human touching an fcat's ribbon) is a sign of trust and love.

♡ fcats dont feel pain, not really. being cut or torn is uncomfortable, definitely noticeable and not necessarily pleasant, but it doesn't hurt the same way it would for us! they can be sewn into with little discomfort
