If you asked Maple outright she would say that the mornings are her favorite time. Getting up and preparing the pride for another day making sure everyone is making the most of their time. However to be quite honest her favorite time of day is when the sun sets and everyone in the pride gathers to talk about their day under the stars.

For one thing she gets to relax without running around camp waking up cats and bugging them until they do something. She also likes to go on small night hunts where she can clear her head and enjoy the crisp night time air. While she appreciates being Priestess, Maple is quite the introvert and needs a fair amount of time by herself to recover from the stress of the position. Being both the spiritual and organizational force for the pride is a large job and doing it single pawed it quite a weight she has to carry every day. Sometimes the spirits have messages for her at night, but at least she is often alone where she can spend time to process the message before forwarding it to her leader.

Maple also finds that during night time the sky is extra beautiful and she often finds herself hanging around Pearl talking about the stars and how they change over the seasons. That time is precious to her and she loves to learn more even if she doesn’t know how to use the information in the same way Pearl does. Pearl always seems to sparkle when she talks about the stars and oftentimes Maple gets lost in her otherworldly purple eyes and melodic voice. Maple isn’t one to talk much so being with a cat like Pearl who can talk her ears off is a perfect way to spend her nights.

due to her rank in her guild, she is always on the night shift for her guild to ensure that it is protected as the stars drift across the sky and cats rest in their nests. she does enjoy this role, but the night just is not what it is all cracked up to be after moons of staring at it. however, the morning sunrise is what makes her enjoy this role even more and makes her more of a morning cat.

the sun slowly rising as the moon sets and sleepy cats start to stir. she enjoys being able to look from her perch as the guild starts its day, it feels sort of personal to her. to be able to see each cat go about, they do many things like sharing tongues or heading out for the dawn patrols under the early sun. each morning is different and unique unlike the night which remains consistent. she remains there until she is released from her post and sent into her nest before her next nightly shift then and another interesting morning which makes her the morning cat she is.
