nickname: frog
reasoning: this chicoon's hiccups sounds almost exactly like a frog ribbiting! so, naturally, it wasn't like before they earned the fond nickname 'frog'

nickname: Cat
reasoning: Naoki had a bad habit of climbing and getting stuck in trees as a child, so he was given the nickname Cat as a reminder of his childhood, and as a reference to how cats get stuck in trees.

nickname: Howl
reasoning: Tucker has a flair for the dramatic, so his nickname is Howl after Howl in Howls moving castle, who also has a flair for the dramatic. Anything inconvenient for him and he causes a big ol’ fuss! However he has a big heart, and loves his friends deeply. It is a great fit for him in his friends opinion!

reasoning: Fern is always go-go-go wether it be with his friends or doing his own little hobbies, he is always movin and groovin~ He *loves* going out and looking for new plants and berries to show to his friends as well, always taking interest in the colorful! With his quick personality and love for the colorful flora, his friends took to calling him "Hummingbird"~ His coloration helps too!

nickname: Dunk
reasoning: Since Timothy was young, they developed a habit of using their fangs for climbing by lashing their head to dig them into the wood of trunks and branches. This has been a great advantage to them in a sense; it's made them an excellent climber and a very successful gatherer of food (especially rarer, hard to reach fruits which they enjoy the adventure of seeking out). However, when they were growing up, their odd climbing behaviour caused some teasing from their peers and so the nickname Dunk was established (referring to the sound made when teeth were slammed into a trunk). Now the community seems to have accepted them as they are and the nickname Dunk is said with much love and warmth.

Other: They also use their fangs as hooks to climb to far branches that can be reached by the length of their neck, and probably in other creative ways as well, that I have yet to learn about.. c:

nickname: Moss King
reasoning: He collects and studies types of moss as it's his special interest, and sometimes gives his friends little moss balls as gifts to show affection, as he's not so good with expressing emotion in the ways people normally do. So he gives the ones he loves these little gifts of moss, and as such has earned him the playful title of the moss king, of which he wears with pride! He loves the nickname a lot.

Agreeable and always eager to offer a helping hand, Jamie responds to all the requests he receives
in about the same way.
"Got it, boss!" - "You got it!" - "I got it!"
It was something that his friends and coworkers picked up on pretty quickly. After they started
pointing it out, the nickname just sort of stuck. Jamie thinks it's hilarious, and he's not about to
change up his responses any time soon.

reasoning: Lyle is constantly following everyone around and being their "hypeman" and "wingman", always lifting their spirits and helping them out and acting like he's their #1 fan. If you're friends with him, he's your #1 guy! He will always hold your stuff for you, carry everything for you, do chores for you, you name it. He'll even text for you and make your appointments! You could beg him to stop and treat himself, but he's just happy to be useful and to do nice things for others. Sometimes people worry he's going to get taken advantage of and he's not even sure himself if he is sometimes or not.

reasoning:Vera has always had knack for plants. One summers day when she was a very young chicoon, Vera went to play with her friends in a meadow. As they ran and played hopping along, one of Vera's friends noticed something. Everywhere Vera went flowers seemed to spring up from the ground. "Vera look!" Her friend shouted. She looked very cross at her friend- "What lua!!?!!" Lua bounded over shouting, "flowers! Look, Vera flowers!" In response vera said very 'matter of factly "well obviously! We are in a meadow! Flowers grow everywhere!" Lua pointed at her tail fire, "no, your fire! Look, it's making more grow!" She looked at her tail fire to see if Luas accusations were true, and right then and there she saw flowers blooming around her tail. She swayed it to see the reaction, and where she swayed her tail flowers began to grow. Needless to say, Lua, and their other friends spent the rest of the day chasing after Vera and picking the flowers that grew behind.
