Not only does he look a bit like a deer, with his short, white bottomed tail and light fawn colour, but he also hunted down and killed an entire deer once! Kind of*.

*(Okay, he didn't really hunt the deer. But he did find it and he did kill it. Maybe he found it already lying in the snow, already wounded and lethargic, but he finished the job, and he brought it home**, so technically it was his hunt.)
