Range Trotters are the result of crossbreeding Orlov Trotters, Finnhorses, Welsh Cobs (section C & D) and Hanoverians. Later crosses of Quarter Horses, Paint and Appaloosas to gain color and to give a boost to their hardiness. With a height average of 13-15 hands, they're a hardy breed with characteristics for various disciplines.
Created for use as work, carriage and leisure riding horses originally, they now serve as long-distance range horses, such as work with Park Rangers and mounted officers.
Willing and eager personalities, most are quickly trained to be bombproof and therefore trusted mounts in all lines of work; some are being seen in local show jumping competitions, others are notably used in therapeutic sessions for their calm temperaments. Harness races and endurance trials are common for the breed, as they are able to sustain an extended trot without tire. Cross-Country competitions see some of the taller Trotters, but due to their cob lineage this is still uncommon.
Despite the variety of competitions and work these horses are being seen in, they are still famously skilled as endurance racers. Many competitors have chosen Range Trotters due to their tireless work ethic, as well as the ease in which they can be trained. Many have become champions in endurance trials, and they have quickly become a sought after breed for their natural ability.
Different kind of comp for this one!
I want you guys to create a marking that can be added to the trotters list!
You cannot link an image of another thing, you must actually create this marking. Yourself.
You can take inspiration from other animals or things, of course, but you cannot just "copy and paste" something onto a set of lines.
(for example, the colobus monkey marking is based off the monkey itself, but it can come in a variety of designs and coverage on a trotter!)
You may use any art medium you like, whether its traditional or digital, but all markings must be clear to see when entering.
Dilutions are acceptable if you would prefer to make that instead of a colored marking.
All entries must be natural in color; no neon colors, rainbow, greens, pinks, etc.
You may make a max of two different entries, both of which must be added to the same form on this page!
If oekaki is your preferred medium, please use this base I have posted. ♥
(it's small, so shouldn't hurt anyone's hands too much if your entry may be extensive!)
The final winner will have one marking added to this trotter; if two are made, the marking that was liked best will be used.
Entries posted here may or may not be used in Range Trotters. Any that are chosen will be stated, and the user will receive a trotter with that marking at the end of this competition!
I would like everyone to know that no one will be judged on the quality of art, but the actual design itself!
I've got limited artistic talent myself, so don't ever feel bad if you think you shouldn't apply because someone else who you find super talented has done so. Love yourselves! ♥

Prompt:
Dun Brindle (B+b/B+B+);
A mutation of brindle that always expresses with white barring on their legs, moving up the body in a spotty/stripe pattern. Horses with Dun Brindle always have white tipped ears or even fully white ears as well as a white mane and tail.
Horses with a single allele (B+b) show with more minimal expression (image one); more spots than stripes.
Horses with both alleles (B+B+) show more extensive expression; less spots with thicker stripes. They also tend to have socks on all four feet and a white belly that leads into the striping around the barrel.
