sorrowbird once lived in a clan, by the name of aspenhollow. unfortunately, the leader of the clan, who was on all nine lives, died mysteriously during the night, which led many to believe that he had been murdered by a member of the clan. suspicion landed on poor aspenhollow, who had been helping out their medicine cat deliver herbs to the leader, for he had recently gotten whitecough. aspenhollow was exiled, and, though filled with sorrow, felt as free as a bird without the weight of the clan on her shoulders. thus, she renamed herself to sorrowbird.

Sunpuddle could only bat at him then, but settled in comfortably with her new name. She was just happy to have a name that really meant something.

ripple was a ragged and hungry cat, used to fighting tooth and claw to survive. but the idea of a self sufficient community that could protect all its members was very appealing to this battle scarred cat. sick of a life of fighting, they agreed to undergo training to become a healer for the clan.

rose renames them fog that obscures the dawn, after the patches of cream that show through their coat. it is a symbolic name, one that represents the light that shines through the darkness. they could fix the hurt that once plagued them, now; a sunbeam breaking through the darkest of skies.

Prompt: Congerstomp is named after Conger eels, which are native to the waters in her territory. Conger eels can be very aggressive and have a very strong bite. While her parents didn't know it at the time, the Conger prefix would serve to be very fitting. As she grew up, she never quite grew into her larger-than-average paws. As such, the massive murder-mitts do give her a bit of an edge in battle, resulting in her signature move - stomping on her opponents. This move is what earned her the suffix -stomp.
