to the war of my heart

i can hear it
the thunder
the lightning

deep within the young cats chest.
With mentors so brave and noble, it could never go wrong.
Soon enough his paw print will be among the rest.

Showing the rich history,
across the smooth cliff wall.
Though many remain a mystery,
he will stand tall.

His mark on the wall will not be forgotten,
for he is true and brave.
stories of legend not misbegotten.
Once known as deputy, before the grave.

But now the new life will begin,
he must hone his skill,
to unlock the power within.
For now he’ll just wait until.

I’d warn as a friend
Who sees the end
