Prompt: Fern was the first dog in High Bridge, belonging to the Founder's parents Fern found her way around the kennels very quickly. Fern was the typical older dog, she could have a short temper with some dogs and would let others jump all over her. Fern was very fond of puppies and had all the patience in the world with them, the newest puppies at high bridge followed her around like she was their mother.
Séamus in particular had a fondness to Fern, and always use to cuddle up in her soft fur.
Fern always walks with Séamus when out on walks, and Séamus is always considerate of her, he walks slowly along side her to not put any stress on her ailing joints.
Séamus is quite larger than Fern now that he grew to his adult height but that doesn't mean you can't find the two snuggling on the same spot on the couch or on Séamus's bed, Séamus never shared his toys very well and was instinctively protective over them even to his sister Saoirse but never seemed to have a problem sharing them with Fern. Fern gets along with all of the dogs in High Bridge, for many of them she was the first non relative collie they saw, many learned agility and social skills through her. She is the dog who is first to greet any visitors who come to see the kennels and is very influential on all of the animals there. Dog, cat or any of the livestock bred near the kennels, even a huff from her make the sheep run in the opposite direction, for such an old dog you really can't keep fern down. (284 words)
