Littleoak has a bit of a secret...
Behind the medicine den, if you squeeze through a tiny opening in the surrounding grasses, you'll find a narrow, well-worn path. And if you follow that path, make your way through an old burrow, and scale a fallen tree, you'll find yourself on the bank of the creek, in Littleoak's garden.
Now don't go telling anyone- who knows what his clanmates would say if they saw him mimicking twolegs!
But at the start every Newleaf, Littleoak spends a moon digging, planting, and splashing water from the creek, all to grow his plants. He grows herbs, of course, but he also has a few rows of flowers- goldenrod, honeysuckle, pansies, trumpets- some wild, and some stolen from the old twoleg barn.
He loves his garden with all of his heart. The smell of honeysuckle soothes his nerves, the patch of clover that lies in the afternoon sun is his favorite napping spot, and the fresh herbs help him be the best medicine cat he can be.
So, if you asked Littleoak, he'd tell you that Newleaf, where he gets to watch his garden come to life, is his favorite season. [196]

what's their favourite season? Monkey Song has always loved the rainy season in the jungle. The way it sounds from the forest floor, with the rain hitting the leaves at the very top, and making their way down to the bottom. Of course he doesn't like being wet too much, but he does enjoy the sounds.
