handmade plush kittens, small enough to fit in the palm of your
hand with ease. they come in all sorts of colors, patterns, and
personalities, and make great companions! they are granted
life when their ribbon is tied, and as long as their ribbon stays
around their neck they will live, presumably, forever!

prompt;; she was made accidentally by a witch trying to make a cat. she put in a witch hat, a bottle of stars, fluffy cat hair, and some magic liquid to bring it alive it ended up working and the witch made it her servant, but luner didn't like that so she ran away into a swamp where she met spirits and became friends with them. after a long time eating mushrooms and drinking mucky water, she decided to get revenge, so she went back to the witches hut at the cover of darkness and cursed the witch, she then took the witch and put her deep in the swamp. after that she became a good witch and made her goal to undo the bad things the old witch did. Sapphirum was brought into being in the arms of a small child. His ribbon, tied securely 'round his neck, was his first sensation. The cool air was second. The warm arms of the child brought his attention to his newfound ability of sight, Eyes that he knew were the same color as his own staring back at him in joyful wonder. The child, he could tell, was female. Her head was clean shaven and she wore just a simple pale blue gown. As the child drew him closer, squeezing him tightly, he took a look around the room, seeing only white and unknown metal structures and blinking lights, and one large curtained window. He would have continued his observations but for in that moment the girl took one hand and stroked it over his soft head. The new sensation was wonderful and some innate sense in him began a rumble deep in his plush throat. He began to purr. And then he noticed the sounds he could hear. Someone was crying... and laughing. It seemed to be a happy cry. And somehow, he knew he had brought someone joy. And he knew, he wanted to to it again and again. Make this little girl happy for as long as he could, even up too forever.

The forest floor was cold, dry, soft. It felt as if the earth was consuming the edges of the trees slowly as it was blanketed by their leaves and the frost of the cold winter. the tall spruce trees were overwhelming, old, and creaking with age. The sky was a deep grey swirling with a sickly blue, and dotted with soft puffy clouds. A cold wind blew a crossed the forest floor, and a chilly feeling would begin to show it's maw.

It was a quiet evening. The sun was low, the birds were nestling about and the prey were beginning to hide in there burrows. A small flicker of light was born from this forest floor. Brought from the ribbon that was originally wrapped around one of the many forest trees. It was those ribbons that tell loggers to cut this tree down. It was neatly wrapped around a small clothed figure, about the size of your hand really. A voice came to them that was warm and sugary sweat. One that could melt just about any heart that crossed ears with it.

The small figure looked up to see a lady, rather plump with stuffing and covered in heartfelt stitches. The seamstress was her name, and she was there to bring love and joy to the small creature. The character reached down to the small plush, and gave it the warmest hug you could ever imagine.

"You may be born from twigs and leaves, but you are no less then the rest of us! You will be loved, and cared for."

The ribbon slipped smoothly around the plush little kitten's neck, satin against soft fabric. Dexterous fingers tied the ends into a neat, loose bow; a kiss between the ears, they were nearly finished. But still, quiet, their ribbon humming with latent magic, waiting for the precise moment of quickening. Their creator smiled soft and knowing, and carefully wrapped the stuffed cat in soft tissue paper, ready for their moment. All that would be needed is a soft tug to tighten the ribbon.

The house was alight with love and laughter, bright songs and brighter voices singing out into the cooling night. The air was thick and sweet with cinnamon and cloves, with lively shots of tangy orange. Bowls of sugared cranberries sat like gems on the sideboard, sparkling beside little cheesecakes decorated with small mounds of pomegranate seeds. In the kitchen, small circular donuts fried in sweet oil, before being rolled in sugar and filled with strawberry jam. Candles were shining in the windows; all was happiness and light.

Gentle hands lifted a box cushioned with colorful tissue paper, carried the precious cargo out into the room. Curious faces gathered round as the lid was lifted and the paper pulled away, to soft gasps of surprise and delight as the kitten was revealed. A child reached in to stroke the tiny cheek, gentle fingers pulled the bow tight, and with a small puff of glittering magic...

"O-oh?"
The kitten stirred, giving a tiny yawn and a stretch as they opened their eyes. "Where... Who?"

"Home, little one, you're home," came the reply as they were lifted carefully from the box and into outstretched hands. The kitten looked around them in wonder, awash in the love of the moment, suffuse in the glow of family and beloved friends.
"We hope very much that you will like it here!"

Snuggled safely in the arms of their new family, the kitten beamed.
"I think I will love it here; I'm so excited to be your family...!"

Tears softly trickled down her face as she listened to the waves crashing against her home. She thought of the daughter she would be leaving behind, remembering the wonderful moments the two had shared here in the lighthouse. Remembering teaching her daughter how to change the light out, how to turn it on and off. The gentle reminders of the odd hours they would have to keep. She hadn't told her daughter yet. Hadn't told her that she was soon going to be alone. She didn't want to leave her daughter alone here, she wanted her to have a friend. When she learned that the disease would take her she knew immediately she must do something special for her child and after some research she had learned of forever cats. She'd wrote a letter to a shop, asking for the supplies and instructions, explaining the situation to the owner and was happy when they obliged, sending materials and instructions. She'd never sewn before and had followed the instructions as best she could. She tied off the last stitch and reached for the sleek ribbon, a smile forming on her face now as a fond memory washed over her.

The first time her daughter had seen the whales. Every year a pod of whales would pass their home, usually at odd hours. The past few years her daughter had missed them. But one bright beautiful day while she and her daughter were enjoying lunch outside the whales came. The delight and wonder in her daughter's eyes had stayed with her and became a beautiful and cherished memory. The pure delight and wonder on her child's face as she pointed out the whales and laughed and ran off to her room returning with a book on sea life, spouting off fun facts about the whales.

"H-Hello?" The tiny little voice startled her as she finished tying the ribbon but then joy swept over her. She did it! "Hello little one." She smiled poking the little nose. The little cat scrunched it's nose and batted the offending nose-poking finger. "Are you my friend?" It asked.
"One of. My daughter will take care of you, and you'll always remind her that she's loved and is never alone." She stood with the little cat plush. "Oh I want to meet her! Of course she is loved! I can feel it! You love her lots!" The little tail flicked happily at the words and she laughed softly before heading off to find her daughter.
