Beestar continued on, and after finding Comfrey Root, he felt much better. He soon was slithering after a vole, to! His tail had flicked in excitement, though he hadn't exactly grown sure of his surroundings. He perked his ears and looked around, suspiciously. "Whoever you are, come out!" though nobody did. He frowned and continued, ears pricked after burying his prey.
He slithered after a hare, yet alas, it escaped. He frowned and again continued. Another hare! There must be a warren nearby. He crouched to attack it, though would most likely miss it, like the other two. Though he'd try!

Beestar crept up to try and stalk the rabbits. They felt his paws and they ran away quickly. Beestar checked the den for unsuspecting prey, and found a scrap of food! Another predator must have gotten there first.

Walking forward, Fawnflurry stops short when he turns to the sight of a young cat shoving herself into a corner, her mostly grey coat blending her into the bland walls fairly well, but her tan splotches made it impossible for her to hide. She was scared, that much was obvious in her fluffed up tail and comically large eyes.
"We're not here to hurt you." Eggdapple's soft lilting voice was the first to break the silence, and the floofy healer wandered closer, purring softly to try and soothe the young she-cat. "What's your name?"
"C-Callie... I... my sister." She made a soft whimpering noise. "Those things.."
Fawnflurry had an idea what happened, and if it was true, there was likely a slim chance she survived, his stomach twisting. He padded closer, crouching beside the healer, "It's alright... Why don't you come with us? We can help you find her if you like."
Callie sniffled, cautiously getting up, "O-okay.."
With Callie in tow, the patrol continued on into the building, scavenging for supplies. Stumbling into another aparment, they were lucky enough to find a garden out on the patio, to which Eggdapple proudly exclaimed about the root of one of the tall purple plants, cheerfully starting to dig and ripping out what she needed with a loud purr (+1 Comfrey Root, +1 XP). Further onward, they discovered wild growing plants with bristled edges and a tall one with cup shaped flowers growing through the cement.
"Blackberries!" Eggdapple purred in delight and offered a few of the tart berries around before she snatched up the leaves from the smaller plant and then eyed the larger one (+1 Blackberry Leaves, +1 XP). She hadn't seen this one used by humans, but there was no harm in harvesting some to experiment with later (+1 Foxglove Seeds, +1 XP). Continuing on into the lower levels, they managed to find their way into a lab of sorts. Clumsy Eggdapple jumped onto a counter and immediately tripped on something, sending the odd vial rolling to the edge. As it teetered there, Coalcreek noticed it and leaped to catch it before it shattered, peering at the glowing turqouise vial curiously as he set it on the ground. He guessed it could be useful... Whatever it was (+1 Forever Small (Kit Lineart Forever), +1 XP)... Unsettled by the lab, Eggdapple timidly asked that they return upstairs, trotting ahead to lead the way into safer rooms and territory. The small patrol didn't manage to find much more useful items inside, so they decided to step out and head back towards camp. Sneaking out the same window, they came into, Coalcreek was lucky to spot a group of Songbirds, flicking his tail to get the group's attention. Carefully, they stalked them, but only Fawnflurry managed to catch one (+1 Songbird [2 FP], +1 XP). On their walk back, Fawnflurry stopped the group, raising his nose to an odd scent. A marsupial of some sort, perhaps a mink, was nearby in the territory. What should the group do?

It was time to regroup. Fawnflurry helped the frightened young cat to the center of the room, giving a soft chirp noise to call the rest of the patrol back. Eggdapple carried various herbs, carefully tangled in her fur for storage, and a strange vial in her mouth. Fawnflurry made a mental note to deal with that later. Coalcreek silently approached from behind him, accidentally startling Callie and quickly apologizing. Eggdapple, without a word, daintily hopped over and placed her vial in one of the pockets of his vest. A good haul. Time to go home. 


The journey back remained uneventful at first. Coalcreek managed to catch a songbird, Eggdapple had checked Callie for injuries and found nothing aside from some malnutrition from being stuck without food, and there seemed to be no sign of those creatures. Fawnflurry's mind wandered to the fate of Callie's sister as a scent emerged. Raising his tail in a signal to stop, he nudged Callie protectively into the center of the group. 


"We have a problem," he whispered. "Unfamiliar scent up ahead. Not a cat, not… one of those, I think. Eggdapple, Callie, are you two comfortable staying here with the prey while Coalcreek and I investigate?" 


His question was met with worried nods, Eggdapple plucking the bird from Coalcreek's grasp and leading Callie into an overturned trash bin to hide. Fawnflurry and Coalcreek crept closer to the scent, ears pinned back and hearts racing.

Lynxfrosts patrol scoured the area. Looking for any signs of life, whether that be prey or enemies. They stumbled upon a rabbit warren, and flushed out a pair. Once got away, but they managed to catch 1 Rabbit!

After catching the rabbit, they strolled over to the river. Looking in the water, they see a couple fish! Feeling confident, they go for a few, but only manage to catch a carp.

Lilacmoon's patrol kept their eyes peeled for herbs. Luckily, the last herbs of the season were tucked around everywhere!

While snooping around the edges of the waterfall, Palecinder caught a small rodent chewing on a bug! They killed both, and carried them.

Beestar flicked his tail as he dug into the nest. Finding nothing except for scraps, he dug them out and stored them for later. He turned and tripped with a rock, like the other, engraved with 97 and common myo What were these things?
He stored it with the scraps and continued.
He grabbed a few herbs on the way, skimming a paw over the rush, investigating the Goatweed, and easily recognizing the Burnet. He nibbled the smallest piece, and feeling a tad bit stronger, set off. He had stored the herbs away.

He could still feel peircing eyes on his pelt. His ears twitched in unease, and he caught a glimpse of white fur. He flattened his ears and turned away, frowning. He felt no eyes now. He continued on into the forest, growing a bit hungry. Once he was to hungry to continue, he'd eat. Or..he'd eat when he came back to his prey. He had hidden it well and the eyes hadn' t followed him when he buried them, which was good.
