Sectoral eyes searched the empty room that her human called the dog room, it was nothing but a bed, a few toys, and her bowls. She stayed in the room a lot, perhaps as some kind of punishment or maybe her human just didn’t want her in the main rooms of the apartment. She didn’t know why, but she absolutely hated it. When she’s in the room all on her own, she hears... voices... even though there’s no one in the room with her. Enya often tries to argue with the voice trying to get it to stop talking to her, she was always loud with it. Quite frankly it scared her, the voice did. The collie had no idea where the source was, or why it was talking to her.
But when she’s around others, the voice doesn’t attempt to speak to her. It wasn’t long until her owner decided to hand her off to the SFA, the place wasn’t too shabby, but she could still hear the voice talking to her there– but only in her kennel alone.
The collie was introduced to a girl, her hair was nearly white and she has hazel eyes. Enya liked this girl, something about her was comforting. She was saddened when the girl left, who’s name she learned was Caroline. Soon she came back, Caroline did, and took her home. Not once since she’s been in the home of Caroline and her other companions did she hear the voice– she was never really alone there.
Enya never told anyone about the voices, she didn’t want anyone to think she was a freak of some sort. She didn’t always hear the voice, it started when she was only a year old when she was brought home for the first time to that dreadful apartment. But most of the cats and dogs in Caroline’s home seems awfully particular. Enya didn’t mind it, she loved all of her unique housemates.

Prompt - The small cream pup coward in the corner, blocking out the yells of his two owners. They did this every night, causing him to find the nearest and quietest corner. The door to the room he was in opened, a small head peeking in. "Spency," The girl called out, walking towards him. Gently, she scooped him up, quickly walking to her room. She shut the door and locked it. "It's ok, it's ok" She hummed, rocking him back and forth. Spencer slowly fell asleep, embraced by his owner.

When he awoke, everything was shaking and dark. There was a small opening, light flitering through. Specer poked his nose through, making the hole open up even more. That's when he realized what he was in. Forcing his head out, Spencer saw the ground rushing past. Looking up, he spotted his girl running down the sidewalk, carriying the small backpack he was in. They neared a building with it's lights on. Spencer wished he could read the bright letters. His girl slowed down, pushing the door open.

A young man stood at the desk, swaying side to side to the music quietly playing. "E-exuse me," His girl said quietly, taking her backpack off. He looked up, giving her a small smile. "Yes? How can I help you?" He asked in a polite tone. "Can I leave him here? I don't feel like he's safe at home..." She asked, opening up the bag, giving Spencer more room. He put his front paws on the edge of the bag, surveying the area. "Of course," He said, grabbing the bag as she passed it to him. He gave Spencer a sad look, but Spenc didn't know why. His girl picked him up, giving him a hug before leaving without him. The man took him through a hallway behind the desk, putting him in a somewhat spacious metal box with blankets.

A few years later...
Peter sighed, petting Spencer's soft cream coat. "This is the third time bud..." Spencer had just been returned by the third family this year because of excessive crying. What made matters worse is that Peter had to leave SFA soon due to him being hired fulltime as SE. That's when an idea popped into his head. "You know, I don't think Alexia would mind another dog at SE, we've been getting busier so extra help is always needed," Peter mentioned, looking at Spencer who had a puzzled expression. "Come on," Peter got up and grabbed a leash from the rack, attaching it to the one Spencer already had on. "Let's go find you a better collar bud."

Little did Spencer know that he would never be alone again.

At first we heard very miniscule growl like sounds, but we shrugged it off.
Soon, we had this eerie feeling like something was gazing at us. We felt we could see it fade every time we looked on the side of our eyes.
My 'friends' decided to ditch me when I didn't know.

The cougar lunged at me and caused me to release a blaring whine, which very quickly gradually turned into ghastly but combative barks...

The fight must've dragged on for hours, I was covered in wounds which had a high percentage of concluding my life on the spot...

You were utterly unable to recognize I was a dog...

Before I left, my mind flashed back memories of my 'friends', who weren't my friends no more. This whole experience, supposedly an 'escapade', quickly turned into the last remaining day of my life...

I was practically almost dead, but I saw a light... I couldn't tell if I was dead or not...

It turns out they were humans, they were putting stuff all over me... It was sore but I somehow felt better... Slightly...

I fell asleep...

And now, I turned out to be at a white building, and now I am here...

Every time I dread that moment... I panic at the thought of being ditched and alone...

That experience is also how I got my name, Dingo, for my bravery and mere survival.
