If a partner team wins, you'll both get your respective dog! If you're working alone, you can apply for both, but you cannot win them both.

Competition:

Clifford is a very mellow and laid-back husky. He’s someone who just lets everything go with the flow, even when it comes to parenting. His darling dearest is truly the apple of his eye. He would definitely let her do what she wants but will offer suggestions and advices when things don’t really fit well.

Clifford will guide his daughter in a more passive way. He just doesn’t feel like he should interfere in her path of finding her way in life. He’ll definitely be there for her when things don’t go as she wants but of course, he will always lighten the mood with some dad jokes and light teasing.

There are definitely times where they’ve disagreed or when she became rebellious but Clifford never took any to heart and felt that everything is just a process of growth. He’d give her some time alone if she needs and he will be the first to break the ice. Depending on the situation, he might be able to relate or help his daughter more, afterall, he was once a kid too.

The two definitely have a lot of fun together as well. Clifford isn’t very well-informed with the lingo that kids use nowadays so when she jokingly called him a boomer, he just happily took it as a compliment.
“Heck yeah I’m a boomer.”

He’s sees his daughter as a precious flower that he started planting in a garden. He watches her grow and now, his little sprout has started to overtake and grow everywhere in his garden.

Ever since Bailey's daughter Applesauce had been born, he'd felt nothing but love and an overwhelming need to keep her safe.
Sauce was his only daughter, the only pup his former mate had given birth to, and he would not let anything bad happen to her.
Bailey's over-protective-ness often led to him following Applesauce wherever she went and being too nervous to let her go on her own. He only wanted what was best for his daughter, that was most certainly true, but occasionally Bailey would turn a blind eye on the border between "protective" and "overbearing".
Bailey, after Applesauce's birth, didn't change much. He was still a loving and affectionate dog, but he definitely became more loyal and careful. He'd had a pretty decent life, but he wanted to give his first (and probably only) pup the best life he possibly could. He wanted to keep her out of harm's way and make sure she was right where he could see her. However, after a certain day when Applesauce became rebellious and went to the dog park by herself (plus their heartfelt conversation afterwards), Bailey became more lax on his restrictions for his daughter. He realized that - if he truly wanted his daughter to be free to make her own choices - he needed to stop babying her and trailing her where she went. Bailey set boundaries, and didn't panic when his daughter was out of his sight.
Applesauce and Bailey were (and still are!) tight-knit. They'd been close (literally) ever since Sauce had been born. They slept together every night, told everything to eachother, and kept eachother's deepest secrets locked within the depths of their minds. It was odd to some of the humans how close they were, but most thought it was incredibly sweet.
They had a bond that was unbreakable and very special, and even if Bailey sometimes over-stepped or Applesauce sometimes snapped and got angry, they were still father and daughter, and they still loved eachother very much.
