Hello hello and sorry for the wait !!

We are so thrilled to bring Kalon #1800 to you all! Every day this community continues to grow and watching as you all develop your characters and love this community in return is something I truly cherish. As always this milestone Kalon has been brought to you guys by a fantastic collaboration between several of our amazing staff members <3

This funky little space Kal seems to have come from a far and distant land, but they don't remember exactly what it was like! It's absolutely dreadful to be so far from home and not even be able to conjure an image of what you're missing or know if you'll see home again. For this competition we want you to design the planet/world this Kalon came from and how they get home from where every they've landed.

• You may have up to 5,000 words
  
• Header/border/coding words will not be counted toward the overall word limit
• You may use up to 10 art pieces
• Comics are fine but each new page/panel will count as one art
• Animations are fine but every 5th frame will count as a single art
• You may add songs but yeah song will count as art

What kind of world does this Kalon hail from and how do they get home?

Possible mark

—Probably from a planet with very interesting landscapes/biomes

—Maybe there is a lot of water and wetlands?

—And a bunch of pink trees [when they’re in bloom]?

—The planet is named Ningikuga, after the Sumerian godess of reeds and marhsed.

—The culture she came from would have to be pretty unique/different from wherever she lands, so that she feels out of place.

—Maybe the entry can be in the format of journal entries, records, and clippings/papers shes collected?


—Maybe gets home by going through a very dangerous procedure to open a portal, resulting in a near death experience.
—Either that or she convinces someone to let her hitch a ride on their spaceship, in return for a hefty price.
—Or maybe some mix of both. Regardless of how she gets home, it costs her a lot but she finds it worth it in the end.

—Maybe her home is changed in some way when she returns.
