good afternoon, I just wanted to clarify this! here is the information for the transfer voucher:

Do you have an old Baltic Husky who needs to be brought up to date? With a single transfer voucher, you can gain access for one Baltic Husky to be moved to the new lines. You can choose if they stay visually the same with only an up to date genotype, or if their design changes to be more accurate!

With this transfer voucher you must wait until someone is open for transfers, however, you will be able to add any items to your form (artist allowing)!

baltic huskies used to be run under a different owner, and during that time they had two different linesets. however, under my ownership, I brought more genes in (including fur types).
there are a couple reasons why we have a specific item for transfers - namely, they are cosmetic. aside from us being able to help improve the quality of the design, they do not actually add all that much aside from giving owners the ability to touch up their dogs and have linearity between linearts. realistically if everyone could successfully transfer their dogs and redo their genes properly, the whole system would be free and I'd allow everyone to do it, but because genes can be tricky and the designs themselves can give complications its something that artists specifically have to do.

in the future, if the species gets incredibly active, I may consider hiring dedicated transfer artists to help streamline the process - however, since right now the species is just starting up, our main focus is on getting out new dogs and fixing up all the past errors with the old lines.

as for artist entries - on the current lines, it has that you can "transfer the design out or use it as an approved custom". this still holds true: because entries are not legitimate dogs, you could just yoink em right off the lines and put the design elsewhere. if you wanted to use a custom on an artist entry, you can - just make sure you have permission from the artist (if it is not yourself) and permission from myself as well. the permission from myself is just to make sure the dog 1) holds the quality a baltic husky requires 2) is genetically accurate. I'd hate for someone to get a custom voucher to claim an artist entry just for it to not be able to be used since it couldn't technically exist : ( however, you would not need to also buy a transfer voucher for this as they'd need to be added to these lines anyway, so you'd only need to make one purchase!
