Shadow Flitz (Singular; Shadow Flit) are a long bodies species that have long since lost their hind legs, tail, and eyes to the power of the shadow and have replaced them with mold-able wispy appendages. these large, friendly beasts have been recently tamed to be ridden by humans and anthros alike. They have large, wide front paws, long pointed ears, and short, smooth fur. They can be naturally found in dark caves, wetlands, or thick forests. however have also been spotted in pastures while hunting. They are carnivores- meaning they are only meant to eat meat and they often prey on birds, deer, rodents, and bats.

I was named after spirits that would posses corpses in order to give fortunes to people... How poetic," he pinched the space on the bridge of his nose between his eyes, "anyways, no that's not my favorite creature. No, no, no. That would be the Chalkydri. It's a creature that has the head of a crocodile, and the feet and tail of a lion with TWELVE angel wings! That's a lot of wings! AND they sound terrifying! Or, they would be if they weren't also rainbow and didn't sing songs when the sun came up to "wake up birds. Although they do hang out with pheonixes, which are automatically cool because... Fire birds that are reborn by bursting into flame? Awesome. So like, the Chalkydri is both super heckin' cool, and kind of... Sweet? Which a lot of cool people I know are also sweet, so I guess it evens out. Plus... You know I might think rainbows are kinda cool and all. I mostly just really like them for their hybridization, their heck ton of wings, and the company they keep. I actually have a, uh... Stuffed animal of one. D-dont laugh at me, it's cool. It's way cool. His name is Socrates".
Vetala pulls out something akin to a sugary nightmare of a stuffed animal. It had a hyper realistic looking crocodile head and lion body, twelve floppy fluffy wings hanging off of it in sad sag, and it was a dull rainbow color covered in glitter. It's sweet how much he pulls it in for a hug, even as he tries to keep up his tough kid façade.
