Breed Specific Gene Suggestion: A brindle variation based off of aardwolves and/or striped hyenas (this collie actually has a similar appearance to what I had in mind). For the most part, the striping pattern in both species look the same. The only major difference is in striped hyenas, there's a patch of black on the throat. Also, the striping on aardwolves is a bit more sparse.
Both species express dark points on the muzzle, legs, and the tips of their tails, although it's worth noting the dark points on the legs don't always appear. The darkening on the muzzle actually makes me think that maybe this brindle variation only has a chance of being expressed whenever masking (Em) is also present in the genotype.
Both species also have manes that are often tipped in black. Since collies don't have manes, I was thinking it could be a dorsal stripe that runs down the back, similar to ones found in dun horses, thus lending it even more uniqueness to separate it from the normal brindle gene.
