She caught it! The she-cat let out an excited laugh as she looked down at the limp mouse between her paws. Birdstar did a small happy dance before nudging it next to a tree to bury. +1 mouse, +2fp, +2xp
On the rest of her journey through the trees, Birdstar didn't see any other prey. She did, however, have a good time taking in the new sights and sounds. That was all that mattered, right? Her stomach would probably start rumbling soon, proving her otherwise. Hopefully she'd find something soon.

On his way back out on patrol with 3 others, Kestrelstar was content as could be. The sun was shining, a breeze was blowing through his fur, and.. he could smell a squirrel? The leader immediately crouched, taking a moment to figure out where it was before he stalked into the underbrush. Ashtuft did as well, slinking around the backside of the tree the squirrel was beneath. Kestrelstar made eye contact with the female, giving her a small nod. And with that, Ashtuft sprung forward, deliberately landing in front of the creature. It gave a startled squeak, whirling before it made a break for the oak. But Kestrelstar was already waiting with unsheathed claws and rumbling belly. +1 squirrel, +3fp, +3xp
The cats didn't end up finding much for the rest of the patrol, but Spottedshadow did end up finding yet another herb to bring to Shellwing, who accepted it with a wide smile. "This spring has been plentiful," The medicine cat commented, her voice muffled by the herb in her jaws. +1 watermint, +1xp

Though finding the predator was an immediate concern, Luckycharm did allow the patrol two stop on two separate occasions, which she'd deemed too important to pass up. The first was when Heartworm had spotted an opossum frozen by a bush to their right. Poor thing, pretending to be dead didn't save it this time. +1 opossum, +4fp, +4xp
The second was when Sugarstep had recognized two different herbs growing in the shade. She'd quickly gathered and buried them, doing her best to hurry so as to not miss the badger. Once she was done and they were back on their path, Batwhisker gave her a bop on the nose with his paw. "Smarty-step." +1 coltsfoot, +1 celandine, +2xp
They ended up not being able to track the badger down, and after a long few hours of searching as the sun made its way across the sky Luckycharm announced that it was time to head home. However, the moment they'd all settled down for a moment's rest, Vixenbounce let out a hiss. Heads quickly turned to see what the commotion was, and every single one of them went still as they noticed the fox's orange and white fur flashing through the underbrush. Luckycharm swallowed. Would she go after it with the patrol, or take them all home?

The three padded through the sun-dappled forest, smiles on each of their faces. It was a lovely day, and with lovely weather came plentiful prey. Darkpool eventually picked up the scent of squirrel, and the she-cat quickly dispatched it and buried for later use. +1 squirrel, +3fp, +3xp
The patrol continued on at their leisure, mostly just enjoying the sun on their fur. Minkfur ended up spotting a familiar bright yellow herb, goldenrod. He gathered some up, proudly burying it before embarking back into the forest. +1 goldenrod, +1xp
