I chose this quote both for her coat and personality. I imagine she is rather cold to the other dogs at the kennel due to a rough past. During her childhood, her owners had neglected Vail, leaving her often alone and outside. When she was finally rescued from that terrible place, Vail was left with extreme trust issues. Now, she tries to stay as far as possible from relationships and has cut all ties from her past. She even feels proud not caring about anyone. Her coat looks almost like it is covered in ash as well as her paws.
*Side note: Her eyes also give me the impression she is cold, leading me to choose Vail for her call name, which is the name of a ski resort.*
