    Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Daisy
    Answer to Prompt:
Daisy quickly made herself comfortable in a metal chair, not wanting to hold up the other cows trying to move around the small but cozy cafe. She closed her eyes for a second; the steam of a warm chai latte immersing her body in a pleasant scent. Suddenly, she was approached by Azai, who apparently wanted to hear about her home. Daisy sighed. Alright.
"I grew up in a small town near the seashore. Oh, my days were spent with the company of the ocean as my best friend. You know how some people talk about how the ocean has been around for so many years that it knows the whole world's secrets? I felt like I knew it and it knew me forever. It was beautiful..." the heifer trailed off. She didn't mention anything about her parents or any siblings. Odd.
When I was older I moved away. I wanted to get myself away from that place for so many reasons. I found myself alone with nothing but some fabric and a few sewing needles, and for some reason, it made me feel powerful. I had the power to raise my own home out of nothing. I started selling various accessories to the odd cow or two and eventually had enough money to buy a house. It's nothing much - a little cottage in the middle of nowhere, but it's home. It's my home. Nobody had to help me to get it or anything. I worked for it and I finally feel like I deserve it, if anything." (258 words)

Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Antheia
Answer to Prompt: Antheia looked down at the cup of tea Azai made her. She smiled sweetly and looked back up her eyes glistening. “My home… It is honestly perfect. The Hill of Delphi is so beautiful, I wish you could come and see for yourself. But since you can’t I’ll give you my best description even though it won't do it justice. When you come in you travel down a gravel road. The gravel you chalks up dusts but I don’t mind, I think it’s cool. As you travel down the road all you can see is just beautiful acres of land that are filled with crops, flowers, trees, there is even a forest on the farthest side of the land! Next, there is the barn. It’s such a soft grey color, my human didn’t want anything extreme such as bright red! Surrounding the barn are the most beautiful lilac trees ever. They are so tall too and they give off the best aroma. Oh! There are sunflowers too and every morning you can just see how they reach for the sky to take in all the glorious light provided by the sun. Inside the barn there are stalls although the only three being occupied is by me, my mom and day. I don’t have any moos around that are like me and can play but I hope my human will get some soon because she loves taking care of us. There is also a huge fenced off area that is just for us, although she lets us roam free. Then there is the forest, which might seem scary but honestly it’s beautiful and sweet. All the greens mixing together and then the random yet beautiful sparks of color are amazing. My human has a house too, it’s such a sweet cottage and it fits her perfectly! Oh something special…? Well I can’t think of anything that makes us special. I think it’s just what's in your heart and your experience there that makes it special. I never had a home before, my mom and I were constantly on the move always looking for something we could call home. When we met my human she treated us with such kindness. I think that what makes my home so special is how I feel about it. It’s a safe space for me where I get to enjoy myself and my interests.” Antheia looked at Azai and smiled passionately about her home.

Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Chantin
Answer to Prompt:
Chantin hums thoughtfully, taking a sip of the tea in front of her while she ponders her answer.

“I’ve only recently moved to Cherry Creek,” she says at last, setting the cup down in front of her, “but I quite like it so far. It’s a very small, out-of-the-way kind of place, but still beautiful. The main barn is nestled beside the namesake creek of the farm, and surrounded by trees. Mostly pine, but Beverly has attempted to plant a little corpse of cherry trees to match the name of the farm. They have their own little plot in front of the main barn- somewhat twiggy little things for now, but growing well.”

“The main lands around the farm are covered in trails and excellent grazing lands. The younger cows, Logan in particular, love running around those hills, hiking and looking for berries and playing games of tag.”

“It’s a beautiful place, but what I love best about Cherry Creek so far is the other cows. They’ve all been so sweet and welcoming- Beverly and Delphi are some of the best friends I could have asked for, and Beverly’s brood of adopted daughters are all so sweet and funny. The place just... feels like home already, though I haven’t been there all that long.” Chantin takes another deep sip or her tea, smiling contentedly.

    Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Jasmine
Answer to Prompt: The brown spotted heifer leans in to the daisies resting on the table before settling back into her seat. "Where am I from? Well..." She paused to think for a minute, gazing at the steam rising from her tea in swirls of silver. She smiled. "Well, I can say that my beginnings were pretty glamorous. I was an orphan calf, but I spent a lot of time alone in the fenced yard since I wasn't big enough to be in the paddock by myself. I got a lot of special treatment, and treats that no other calf was allowed. Jasmine tea was my favourite... It's how I got my name actually-" She tilts her head to the side to show off collar, the white flowers standing out against the green material. "and my collar, too." I've not really had that many bad days in my life, just dull ones. I was pretty lonely as a kid, and even as I grew up I was still so sheltered. My new barn, Sycamore Hollow, has given me a lot more room to grow, though. Even if I have only been there for a short amount of time, I've fallen in love with the hilly paddocks, the large, sturdy trees and at its heart, the residents. I think I'm pretty blessed to have made this the place that I'll turn a new chapter."

buttermilk's name/ link: buona!
answer to prompt: buona contemplated drinking the steaming tea in front of her but decided against it as she shifted back on her seat. "i'm from somewhere much different than here," she began, her eyes twinkling as she thought about her home. "there's snow 9 months of the year and its always cold. well, to some people. i've lived there so long i don't get cold unless its the middle of winter. we see temperatures so extreme around that time that most of our work has to be done inside - to avoid frostbite or freezing to death. but its beautiful there, unmistakably. there's mountains that stretch so high into the sky and are so large you can see every detail - from the crevices to the caves to the snow caps up top. all of the are coated in snow and look like christmas trees - all year around apart from summer. there's so much nature and not much air pollution so the stars are always bright and you can see most constellations. there are 14 greenhouses at snowdrift vale and many, many sheep who i am proud to call my friends. i'm the only cow there for now, but i'm sure there are buttermilks out there seeking a nice and quiet place in nature to live their days in peace."

Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Little Red
Answer to Prompt: Little Red sipped on her tea thoughtfully as the soothing voice of her host asked her about her home. She smiled to herself and closed her eyes, the images of home flooding back to her in vivid detail and color. When she spoke, it was as if honey rolled off of her tongue, slowly and sweetly in the softest voice you'd ever heard with just a twinge of that southern drawl. "My home is a big barn nestled in a valley whose peaks overlook the sea. There's a big white farmhouse with sunflowers growing on every side of it and a long driveway that leads to road we take to get to town. Just on the other side of the road is a long, long stretch of beach grass, and beyond that is the softest, whitest sand you'll have ever set your hooves in."

She took another sip of her tea, smacking her lips and grinning at Azai. "This sure is some tasty tea!" she complimented, taking yet another large gulp. "We grow all kinds of things on our farm, there's a creek that flows through the valley and under the road, eventually emptying out into the sea. Lots of wildflowers and sweet grass grow along its banks, and the honeydew melon patches grow just on the other side! We also have mangoes which are my personal favorite! Me n' the other heifers like to go out on a sunny day and lay in the grass among all the flowers, soakin' up the warm rays and munchin' on clover. We call it our little patch of paradise and we've never been happier than on the farm."

Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Lucina
Answer to Prompt:

"Where am I from? Well, I'm glad you asked me that because I'm happy to tell you that I'm from a vast extension of land that they called Huckleberry Acres!" Lucina was also a very talkative Buttermilk, of course, she was this way for those who cared to listen to her ramble. "Huckleberry Acres has several sections dedicated to different animals. There's a part of it that contains a section for our rabbits, there's the Buttermilk portion of it, where I live obviously, and then there's Huckleberry Kennels, where the store all the dogs that guard us and keep us safe during the night hours."

Lucina paused to look at Azai. She wanted to make sure that he was retaining the information that she was giving him. "Anyway, I suppose I should tell you some information about the Buttermilk section of Huckleberry Acres, where I live. First thing that you should know is that Huckleberry Acres is HUGE! You could store over a hundred of us Buttermilks without any issues! And secondly, Huckleberry Acres is open to the public. So we have humans visiting us all the time. In fact, we host a lot of events at Huckleberry Acres. These events vary depending on the different seasons." Lucina's eyes lit up big time as she moved on to describe the events.

"First of all, people can come in and see us for free. But that's also an all year round activity. I look forward to seeing the humans everyday! Our events really start in the summer. These events consist of: Cheese Day, an Ice Cream Social, and my personal favorite... Cow Appreciation Day!" She laughed a bit as she thought about the events. They were all so much fun! They certainly brought the Buttermilks at Huckleberry Acres closer to the humans, and vis versa. "We also have our very own shop where the humans can buy icecream. We also have a bed and breakfast. Since Huckleberry Acres is so big, they invest big time in bringing up the land!"

Lucina stopped again to think. There was a lot that she talked about. How big it was, how many Buttermilk's the land could hold, some activities, and some other features for the humans. Overall, there was a lot of greatness to where she lived and she took a lot of pride in it. It was hard for her not to praise it.

"So, I guess that's pretty much it for where I live. There's just so much to it! But I hope our chat gave you an idea!" [427]

Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Takara
Answer to Prompt: "Home is mountains and creek, meadow and mystique." Takara snorted softly at the old recited description. "At least, that's what I'm told. The cliffs are high but can be climbed pretty easily, and the views are amazing over the creek as it cuts through the grass and toward the trees. There's a few old legends there, too - ghost stories, things meant to frighten the little ones and keep them in line, but... nothing I could verify to my own satisfaction. One of my favorite legends was of a little guardian spirit that protected the pristine water. I'd go looking for the source of the creek, hoping to catch a glimpse of it, imagining it patrolling around in full armor and regalia... but when I eventually found the mouth, I found a whole lot of nothing... though, I guess it was a pretty little clearing, with the smoothest, glassiest stones I've ever seen."

Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Alice
Answer to Prompt:
Alice plopped herself in a cozy booth and pulled her hot chamomile tea towards her lips. After a gentle sip and set the cup back into its saucer and seemed to trail off into a line of thought. "Oh! I'm sorry I was thinking about other things. Where am I from?" She took another sip from her tea before once again returning it to its place on the table.
"I live at Lavender Meadows. I've been there for a while now, but not my whole life. For a little bit I bounced around from farm to farm, never quite figuring out where I fit in. Until I landed at Lavender Meadows, of course. See, its just as calm and welcoming as the name sounds. Soft beds, plenty to eat, a cozy family room with a toasty wood burning fire place..." Alice trailed off to sip her tea again. "We live in a two story building. It's an old victorian style farmhouse, a beautiful place to see really. The outside is painted a very dainty pale purple, with a white picket fence running all along the front. It so cozy and such a wonderful place to live..." Alice sank back into her seat and stared off into the cafe, lost in thought about her dear home.

Buttermilk's Name/ Link: Bedelia
Answer to Prompt: "Of course! I actually live about ten miles west of here, on my family's property. Every year I journey here to stay in town for the week the farmer's market's open. I love getting to know everybody that comes to the market, and, of course, enjoying some amazing, fresh food like your drink here!
Anyway, my home... For generations my family has lived in the foothills of the Miracle Mountains, on a span of about 400 acres... what was that? Oh yes, a huge area! But then again, I have a huge family! The section of land I actually grew up on is large, hilly pasture, bordered by a dense wood. Some of my extended family lives in hillier areas, while others live in smoother areas and others in patches of the woods themselves. We only have patches of trees on our property. Our land, albeit rocky, craggy, and laced with rivets and rivers, is actually great for farming! We supply crops for some of my family members in less prosperous areas. My family is very fortunate in this way!
Even though my family has lived on this land for as long as time can trace, I don't think the land has ever been completely explored. It is the most wonderful thing to discover a place you've never seen. Who knows, you may have been the first cow to ever step foot on that land. It really is amazing! I've discovered meadows filled with wildflowers, silent valleys only occupied by a rumbling waterfall, spring-fed lakes, and outcroppings overlooking miles of unexplored land... Oh, and you can go almost anywhere you can think of, because it's all owned by my family! Everyone is so kind and loving!
Anyway, when my parents pass, I will inherit the piece of land that I grew up on, since I am the oldest sibling. My siblings will get a different, unoccupied piece. If necessary, I can divide my land between them, but the younger siblings often move away. Some of my extended family actually lives in town here!
Also, no matter how outrageous this sounds, I don't actually know if we have any neighbors! The mountains that surround us, despite their pretty name, are wild and uncertain. Some say they have a mind of their own. May the name suggests that it's a miracle to survive within them! Needless to say, they are greatly uninhabited by anyone you would like to associate with! I personally have never dared to travel within them, and I dream of going to Mars, so that's saying something!
Now that you know almost everything about my home, how about you?" (440 words)
