Despite being vertically challenged, Monarch is the greatest cow pony that a man could ask for. She turns her small stature into a strength with her tight cuts and precise steering. Monarch is a very smart mare, some joke that she’s “too smart for her own good” but that intelligence gives her superior cow sense, so she can tell where the cow is going by the look on his face. Although she is little, Monarch can really run. Her strong haunches allow her to propel herself at alarming speeds, and harness that in a way that taller or leggier horses couldn’t. That also gives her a little bit of an ego, however. In Monarch’s eyes, the taller the horse, the clumsier he or she moves.
