Blazethorn’s favorite bird is the snowy owl, a common night-dweller for the foggy mountains he lives in. For much of his life, Blazethorn had survived in the night, lived in the night, and loved in the night. He had found a stray owl, a chick, whom has followed him. The chick stayed with him throughout its childhood. The bird would occasionally shed feathers. Whenever the last few were gone, the bird flew off. But Blazethorn never forgot his only friend. He wears the feathers in its honor.
