Welcome to the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project
Euphorian Thoroughbreds are a rare string of the Thoroughbred breed. They come from a single farm simply called “Euphoria” that has horses with mutated genes. These allow them to be able to possess any realistic coat or markings. Everything else about the sub-type is the same. Long, strong legs, a powerful hind, and great speed. Their eyes are soft and the breed is incredibly smart, if not a bit goofy. They love kids and have the rare ability to excel in any discipline. They can grow from 15hh-18hh, though usually somewhere in the middle.
The horses readopted through the Euphorian Retired Racehorse Project are looking for a new loving home and a new job. They’ve tried racing and have either retired or decided the sport wasn’t for them. Either way, they are ready for the next chapter in their life. Some of these horses will come with a little training already, and will have their new discipline already determined. Although others you’ll get to pick how they move forwards!

Oralie has always been particularly competitive and very devoted to her discipline, the splendid relationship with her jockey and her grace allowed her to win many competitions.

One autumn day she was getting ready for the competition, saddle worn, bright coat, her dear jockey was ready to compete.
The young girl stroked her neck and looked into her eyes.
-we will win this time too-

However the mare's attention was captured by someone else, in front of her a tobiano horse with a shiny coat and an elegant demeanor marched, his jockey was an equally elegant girl.
-Hi, are you also competing? Nice to meet you, this is Cosme, he has already participated in many dressage competitions-
-Well, my horse Oralie has also participated in numerous competitions, we always win-
-Oh really? Well we'll find out, how about if we make friends in the meantime and then return to being rivals?-

Both girls laughed, their conversation was obviously ironic, however Oralie had not yet framed Cosme and not knowing him she only saw him as a vain horse and too proud of himself.

The two jockeys made friends immediately and Oralie approached Cosme, between the two there was a great harmony mixed with a little of competition, both wanted to win and it was quite clear.

The race started and surprisingly both qualified in first place, the jury proposed to make a playoff but the two jockeys simply decided to share the prize.

From that day a deep friendship between Cosme and Oralie was born, the two now love to spend time together and often train together.
Cosme protects Oralie and vice versa but often they still love to challenge each other and remember their first competition together.

Between the two it can be said that Oralie is the reckless, the courageous and the rebel while Cosme is more peaceful and with the hooves firmly on the ground, these two so different personalities complement each other perfectly and it becomes almost impossible to separate the two horses even for a moment, and to think they were rivals!

The bond they have is very strong and who knows if one day this bond will be transformed into something else?

When Isabella first came to Amethyst Ridge, it was a less than happy moment. When she was born, she was preened and coddled for her beautiful, shiny coat. From foalhood all the way to her third year, she took hundreds of ribbons for her pristine confirmation and stunning looks. She was praised, glorified, and spoiled - all until her fourth year. All of a sudden her handler noticed parts of her mane falling out; at first it was just a few strands here and there, but soon it became worrisome how thin and lifeless her mane was getting. Within three months, she'd completely lost those long glorious locks that had added to her beauty, and suddenly the ribbons ceased. Though her owners kept showing her, unashamed of the hidden mutation passed down from her mother, the shows she had so often won her far less forgiving.

When Amethyst Ridge purchased her, Isabella had next to no confidence left. She was ashamed of her maneless mutation, and terrified of new people and horses for fear of ridicule. It took a gentle hand and a close friend to bring her back to her former glory, and that friend turned out to be another Euphorian mare named Regina, a badger face splash mare who was absolutely stunning - and won many ribbons despite her cropped mane. Between her rider Aniya, her girlfriend Rebecca and her mount Regina, they hatched a big plan to bring light back into the sun-marked mare's world. They began to teach her new things, new competition styles to build her confidence, and they found one sport where she absolutely excelled: Dressage. She had the floating movements, the receptiveness to aids and her rider, and the controlled elegance that Dressage horses needed to be successful. So they took it slow, trained her gently, and built up her skills - until one day, Aniya had an idea. To help Isabella learn the more difficult moves, they'd brought in Regina to show her how the moves went, then worked together side by side. Before long, they had become perfectly mirrored halves; Silver and Gold, Fire and Ice. They were stunning together.

Together they began to train in Pas de Deux, and in their very first competition, Regina and Isabella took the blue ribbon. Her confidence soared, and she began to show her charisma and natural showmanship once again. From there things only went up, and she began winning ribbons in halter again, as well as other competitions such as solo Dressage, In-Hand, and Gaited competitions. She was a natural, and all it took was a little reassurance to bring out her talent one more time. Now, Isabella and Regina are unstoppable - fire and ice reign supreme.

Solitaire never found someone who stuck with her. She never met a friend when racing, and had trouble when she came to Amber Hollow. It was an issue until she met Domino. He was kind to her and always talked to her. Solitaire was head over heels for Domino.

It was Belle’s first real show. Her nerves racked high as she was led to a stall to get prepped. She had done many before, but none as professional as this. Belle was young; a baby compared to these other horses. They towered over her and the horses around her made her nervous. Their pretty coats beamed with beauty and it seemed as if every step was perfect. Their movement was unflawed. Belle had been training for this ever since she was a foal. She had dreamed of competing professional as a young filly but now… now she wasn’t so sure. “All these horses look so perfect,” Belle thought. Just as Belle was about to be tacked up, a horse was walked to the stall across from her. She looked up to see a beautiful dark bay, her mane and tail french braided for the time being. She did not stand too tall, almost the same height as Belle herself. The other horse must have noticed the staring as she looked right back. A soft whinny was let out and immediately Belle felt better. This other horse must have known how nervous she was and the simple gesture made her feel better.

Once the show concluded and awards were given out, Belle was getting prepped to begin the long journey back to her stable. Her rider, Ava, was putting on Belle’s blanket when the attention diverted from her. Belle looked over to see another human, quite possibly Ava’s age, and the beautiful bay standing right next to her. It was then the bond and famous duo “Gracie and Belle” was born. Turns out, the riders went to high school together and were reunited at the show. College has separated each girl’s paths, but they too soon became close friends. To even more of a shock, they lived not too far from each other.

From that day on, the mares were best friends. Gracie and Belle remained inseparable and were attached at the hip when they were together. It even came to the point where Gracie began to be boarded at the same stable Belle was at. They will prance around the pasture, playfully racing from one fencepost to another. Their stalls are right next to each other, although if they had their say, they would be in the same stall. Besides being Belle’s #1 friend, Gracie also helped mentor Belle. Dressage is a competitive event and with young Belle just now learning, it was incredibly beneficial that she learned from an experienced, high ranking dressage horse. After a few sessions, Gracie’s talent rubbed off on Belle. Not only did Gracie help Belle’s technique but also her preshow nerves. Before every show, Gracie gives Belle a simple to nuzzle to boost her confidence. Having her best friend at the forefront of her mind before a show gives her peace of mind. Afterall, Belle wants to be like Gracie when she grows up, even if they are only a few years apart

“And, with that score, Crucially Caffeinated pushes forward to first place! With just one rider left, she’s going to be the one to beat!”

As the fleabitten mare left the arena, head high and body exuding confidence, Eve, waiting for her rider’s cue to move forward into the arena, pinned her ears, reaching outwards with a snap of teeth, hoping to catch the other mare on her rump. Every competition that she was entered into these days, that blasted fleabitten mare swooped in and stole her glory. And no matter how hard she tried, she could never get those precious few points that were needed, earning her a measly second place each time, boosting that other mare’s ego. The riders offered each other friendly words - the mare’s rivalry didn’t reach the saddle, much to Eve’s chagrin - and wishes of good luck were passed between the humans.
And, with a squeeze of leg, Eve was moved into the arena, and, like so many competitions before, she performed beautifully, but was denied her victory. And, once again, she and that gray menace were forced to stand side-by-side, trying with all their might to land a blow or a bite before taking off in a winner’s parade.
A winner’s parade that she would never lead. Not while that gray mare was around.

It wasn’t long after that that she learned the news. She had been sold - for a fair amount, she was delighted to hear. She had high expectations for her new home, and it did not disappoint. Numerous other ERRPs raised their heads, looking to the newcomer, whickering softly in greeting and curiosity. Eve couldn’t help but arch her neck, prancing to put on a show for the onlookers as she was brought to her new stable.

She settled quickly, and within hours was in the arena with her new rider, showing off what she could do for the trainer who stood nearby. Each human that came near showered her with compliments, about her coat, her movements, her achievements, and if she received one more, her head may have become too big for her bridle. Moving at an easy trot, her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the arena’s door opening.Glancing over, the mare’s fluid movement jarred suddenly as a gray form stopped similarly, neither mare believing what they were seeing.
“Great! You’re here. Now, can you both pick up an extended walk, just to get Latte warmed up...”
Shaking her nose, refusing to lower herself to petty hatred when she was having such a good day, Eve stepped to the easy gait, but she was determined to make every movement better than the gray mare’s, who seemed determined in the same.
It was a mere hour of training, but by the end, both mares were sweating and frothing, both too tired to lash out as they stood side-by-side as the humans discussed them. Eve found her eyes travelling over to the other mare, whose brown gaze locked upon hers. Eve found a short whicker travelling up her throat, and Latte copied.
What was hatred quickly turned into a playful rivalry, even more quickly turned into a best friendship. Now, when the mares compete, they celebrate each other’s successes... even if their training still seems like a life-or-death competition!

Jack and his owner let out a sighs of disappointment, they had just gotten done looking at two potential partners for pair driving with Jack. They had hoped that looking at other horse at the one of the completions would help them find the one. Jack's owner was not looking for a perfect matched pair not with Jack's unusual coloration. She was just hoping for a steady ERRP that loved all things driving as much as Jack did and it would not hurt if they were close in height. And Jack just wanted some one who loved driving as much as he did.

As the pair walked back to the truck and trailer both spotted a beautiful golden mare pulling the most hodgepodge cart thing they had ever seen in a very roughly mowed meadow. The cart had two different wheels on it one looked to be a bicycle wheel the other a motorcycle wheel. And holding the random bits of board, plastic and seats from who knows what was what looked to be brightly colored ribbon, twine and wire. And on it were tiny old man and three kids happily shrieking ranging in age from a toddler up to a 12 year old.But the thing that caught both of there attention the most was the mares body language. Instead of being unhappy, freaked out or anything the mares ears were pricked forward. The mares eyes were shining with happiness and the mare was moving fluidly through the uneven field and pulling the cart and kids as if they were the best and prettiest thing in the world.

Jack nearly dragged his owner over to the sign at the edge of the meadow that had written on it in very rough writing. "$2 for cart ride. $5 for three kids under 12." Soon the old man brought the mare back to the sign and as the two humans started to talk Jack and the mare greeted each other and seemed to hit it off. Much to Jack's owners surprise she heard the strangest thing the mare whose name Golden Hearted Lady also know as Lady for short. Had never had any formal training as a driving horse. Lady was actually a dressage/lesson horse but she had never been a top tier horse. The barn she had been at had gone under and the old man had bought the mare so she would not go to the shifty looking buyers that had been at the liquidation sale. He happily sold Lady to Jack's owner and on a whim she hitched them up together to see how they did. To Jacks owners utter amazement they acted like they had been working together for years. She decided to enter them in the most basic of driving classes at the competition. And to her utter amazement they took first.

From that day forward Jack and Lady became a unstoppable team. And they only got better at working and winning together.
