Who was your childhood friend?
Mars looks at you quizzically, on one hand he could list off a random rabbit he knew from when he was younger, but that wouldnt quite be the truth. "Well. I was." he started softly, you could see the gears turning behind his eyes as he found his words carefully, "I was my childhood friend. Best friend even. I had more acquaintances than anything else, none I'd trust wholeheartedly with everything I have. So, myself." He decided on.
How do you deal with a heartbreak?
"I never got that close to someone. I don't want to deal with it so I'd rather just avoid it altogether. But.. maybe one day I'll open that door." He hummed absentmindedly, almost seeing off in space. He fiddled with his lips as the thought.
What is an important memory you'll always remember?
He furrows his brows, raising one slightly, "Uh. Interesting question. Never thought about it before really?" He bounced his leg idlely, his face looking rather grim while he pondered over his past. "The only thing I can think of is back in school I had this.." His hand waved as a way of forming a word into his subconscious, "Thing. It was back before I used to push people away quite so much, it.. caused me to start putting up barriers. I never felt anything like it and it just shut me down so wholely. I pushed myself away from everyone because I never knew if they were going to do the same thing as.. someone... did. I told someone alot about myself and they used it against me. -But you live and you learn." he quickly changed the topic, but his eyes still shown that he was back there, remembering still. You decide to leave it there.
Will you rabbit ever forgive the cottontail you hate the most?
"No." He chuffs, laughing almost angerly, cutting off further questioning about it there. His foot stopped tapping the ground abruptly when you had asked that. Some grudges will follow their owners to the grave.
Do you like the rain?
In a hopeful turn of pace you ask this as a way to ease Mars back into conversation, and it seems to have worked as he let his shoulders drop at the non-intrusive question. "The rain? It's refreshing." You follow his gaze as he follows a car driving down the otherwise empty street from the dim coffeeshop you inhabited, a few other people gently chiding in the background. "I can't help but to go out in it. Usually with my clear unbrella, the little pitter patter of the droplets hitting that rubbery plastic is like nothing else."
You decide to inquire further, about where he goes when it rains.
"My feet take me where they want. Usually parks or graveyards, where it's most quiet in this city. Can't really hear the rain otherwise. Sometimes I'll end up in little self owned businesses too, the rain on the window is nice. And yaknow. Support local businesses." He smiled softly to himself, thats the first time you've seen him smile this whole time. Interesting.
