Cat Name: Owl that Calls in the Night
"Owl"
Gender:Female
Rank:Deputy
Clan:SunclanAge: 3 y.o.
Prompt:The Tribe of Endless Snow had been militaristic by nature and
brutal to all who opposed them. They were a mere story told
to house cats about the group of cats who stalked the snowb-
ound night far in the north. They had to be infamous, after
all, for tales of their misdeeds to have traveled as far south as
it had. Not much was known of their ways, just that they were
a lawless bunch built on selfish desires and a lack of empathy
or compassion. The elderly were left to die and kits who were
weened from their mother's milk were instantly shoved into
training. Owl had been born among this tribe of dastardly cats.
Her name, then, had only been
Hiss, as all cats were
given a "kit" name until they proved themselves worthy of a
"real" one. She was a weak and sickly kitten growing up and bec-
ause of this she was the target for bullies. Often times she was
even used as training bait and would be left battered and beaten
where ever they had left her to lie. Her story isn't noble, by any
means. She is no hero. She merely was a cat of a tribe who could
take the terror no longer. At around twelve moons old she up and
left in the middle of day while her clan slept. In this journey she
nearly died, but she had held on. It seemed like a stroke of luck -
or maybe it was divine intervention, but when she finally did fall,
her body too weak to continue, sickness gripping her lungs, she
was found by Flame that Rises from Ashes, the Sun Keeper of Sun-
clan.
She's come a long way from her upbringing in the last two years.
Hiss was given the name Owl that Calls in the Night and she has
even risen to become deputy. No longer is she weak or sickly, or
anything of the sort. The Tribe of Endless Snow has lost a good cat
indeed, but in their loss, Sunclan found a new friend, a new ally,
and someone to protect them.
