aldershade was born into a litter of three- but unfortunately, he was the only one who made it. his mother decided that he brought her too much pain, and gave him to another queen to take care of. and that was that, she never looked back, and aldershade would never know who his real mother was.
he will always be grateful for what his adoptive mother did for him, she raised him to be the cat he is now, she gave him love and still continues to do so. but, ever since he found out the truth that he wasn’t part of her litter, a small part of him has always wanted to know who his birth mother is.

Cedartail has always had a hard time surviving. He was born in the middle of a raging blizzard, and he was nearly crushed in the avalanche that followed. His mother had fled, leaving him behind, and thankfully a passing loner had found him. She named him Cedartail for the cedar bough that was found right next to his tail. He had been raised by that loner until a mudslide had taken her away. Cedartail had been devastated by the loss, and tried to recover, but it was hard. He wandered about the wilderness until a blizzard caught up to him. Of course, by that time, Cedartail was beginning to wonder if the elements were out to get him. After all, it's not every cat that gets caught in an avalanche, a mudslide, and a blizzard in their lifetime. Cedartail was soon bogged down by the snow and collapsed in a drift. Thankfully Moonstar was wandering by and was able to get him to safety. After Cedartail regained consciousness, he decided to join SummitClan and protect anyone he could against the elements.

It shows the story of him convincing his crush best friend that there was a better life for them out in the wild, and that they belonged out there rather than trapped inside a Twoleg place. Together they discover the magic of nature, from the beauty of stars to the grace of waterfalls, Newt developing a huge love for adventure and studying the landscape. They then found FlareClan, and his friend was keen to join. With his loyalty to his friend, he followed the tom to their new life, disappointed he'd be once again rooted to a single place. Then he discovered he could become a Runner, and suddenly everything fell into place.
