kitchen fork: bearstrike has a hard time understanding what's going on around her and finds herself constantly terrified of what's going on. she's gotten better over time, but when she first came to emberclan she hissed and bit anyone who went near her out of fear of somebody hurting her.

stuff is way: bearstrike has an odd way of speaking that is quite hard to understand unless you know her well, with her speaking in riddles or just 'insanity speak,' as some of her clanmates put it

i know i'm a wolf: bearstrike always finds herself hurting others on accident by not knowing her strength, but finds herself trying to take good care of small little animals and pebbles she finds across camp.

goner: she's very scared of others and doesn't feel herself worthy of being anywhere, much less emberclan.

Ghost Town: Represents her rise to clan leader as she pushed herself to improve and look out for the good of the clan, this lead to her breaking some friendships - a lot of which she regrets as she misses her old friends which are still close. Despite this, she knows she now needs to focus on the presence and future and still tries to be the best she can even though she has made mistakes and will most likely make more.

Silhouettes: This is a continuation, representing how she is now focused on her position of leader and how she is gradually accepting that while she misses her friends and wishes that things could have been different. But in the end, she is still striving towards her dreams and that the friends she has are ones she will always cherish despite the mourning of those she lost.

Heaven Knows: As leader she has lost friends in battles and sickness when she has only lost a life, but she carries them in her heart and memories and is determined to keep going and continue to treasure her clan and those she still has.

I'm Born To Run: Looking over her life and as always to the future, she realises how far she has come and builds on how she wants to keep going and staying positive for those who can’t. She will always put her clan before herself even if that means she will come across as careless.

Leaving was best, she had figured at the time. Leaving to go her own way, forge her own path. That is what the song ‘lose you to love me’ is supposed to represent here- though not so much letting go of a single love, as representing Quail’s determination to do the best for herself.

‘Cathedral,’ one of my latest favorite instrumental songs, represents Quail’s life in between leaving and her joining NorthClan. It starts off quiet, and unsure, as Quail was at the start. Then it grows into something beautiful and powerful, before dwindling again- though Quail still believed leaving was her best choice, there came a certain loneliness- not for what she had left behind, but for something new, maybe...

‘Hold on to me’ represents her integration into NorthClan- as the song opens with ‘you’ve been walking alone for so long,’ so has Quail been alone for the better part of her life so far. The song’s promises to stick by and walk beside are reminiscent of the home Quail starts to find, as Quailspot, with the small clan.

‘You say,’ finally, encompasses the sense of surety and belonging Quailspot finally settles into. No matter her past loneliness or occasional feelings of inadequacy, she knows she has a home. A family. She knows she is loved.

(Plus maybe I just kinda wanted to add that song in because it’s beautiful and I think everyone should hear it ^^")
