Favourite Animal: I have a few favorite animals, and it's quite hard to choose between them haha! I've loved horses since I was young (that's no surprise) and I think they are amazing creatures, and the experiences they can give you, through knowing and interacting with them, or riding them, are so unique and jaw-dropping. Riding has been such a specific experience that nothing has ever been able to beat, and while I don't often get to see or hang out with or ride horses, and I haven't in quite some time, I'll still sit here and crave to be back in the saddle again, even if just for a moment, to see the world from the back of a horse, one last time. They're truly fantastic creatures, and I hope to one day be able to ride again, and even have one for my own and to just, work with these fantastic beasts.
I also adore dogs, in general, and I have a few breeds I love over others but really just, dogs are fantastic haha. The companionship they bring is something I heavily rely on in my day to day life. (As well as that of my cat.) They can form such bonds, and some are so bright that they seem to be able to learn more tricks than humans!
On top of this, another favorite, in a general sense, are reptiles/lizards/snakes and their similar relatives. They come in such a variety of shapes and colors and personalities that people really don't give them credit for. They don't share, with me, personally, the same bond as many mammals do, but they seem to have one entirely of their own, with mannerisms unique to each species that just makes me want them all >3<.
(Also, guinea pigs. By far, one of the best pets I've ever had, their personalities are so distinct and different from one another, and they can really bond to you and brighten your day.)

Favourite Animal: I have a few animals I favor.
I've grown up with lots of animals, but I've spent the most time with horses. Despite their usually flighty or skittish nature, horses can be wonderful companions, and I've had a few strong bonds with horses. They truly do feel your emotions and can react to your calm or unease, but some horses have an amazing sense of focus I really admire as a polo player myself. Feeling them move beneath you when you're competing is exhilarating, to trust and rely on a companion three times your size, and it feels like something else entirely when you have those light-handed horses in polo that can predict your every move or need little to no pressure to move. It's been a while since my last game of polo, but my wonderful family friend has been letting me ride her horse to remember my English riding again. It's a humbling experience to ride the old pro horses and feel again exactly how you're supposed to ride again (He loves to 'test' you ), he really encouraged my regrowth.
My second favorite are wolves. It is more of an unending fascination with them since I have never truly been able to work with them yet (It's a bit of a dream to be able to), but these elegant animals show a lot of sophistication and their loyalty to family used to be awe-inspiring for me as a child. Despite their wildness, they are sharp and intelligent hunters with very little cruelty, and I used to want to own one when I was younger. I admire the wild look they had and dream now of getting a German Shepard, for their look is close to that of wolves, with those angled ears and figure. To have a loyal companion that would always stand by my side was something I've always looked for and make an unbreakable bond that could have us together forever.
My third, more mild favorite is hyenas. While I would never trust them if faced with them, their structure of life and odd style of living has always intrigued me. While more related to cats than dogs genetically, their behavior matches neither and their society is very female-dominant. To me, it's their weird uniqueness that makes them a favorite to learn more and more about them.

My favorite animal is and always has been the (not so) humble housecat. When I was a kid, I had this book called The Little Lost Kitten. It was about an orange kitten named Buttercup who ran away, because he thought his little girl was mad at him. In the end they're reunited, and she's so happy to see him she's not worried about the vase he broke while he was playing with a butterfly. Maybe that's a strange way to get introduced to your favorite animal, but that book has stuck with me all my life.

I've owned many cats, and they've all been my babies and my best friends. They're such sweet animals. They know when you're feeling down, and when you're happy. I'm not sure how I would've gotten through life without them, as my cats have always been a huge comfort to me.

They're also silly little critters that can be endless fun to watch. I never knew a paper bag could be so entertaining.
