Derived from the Azteca of modern Mexico, this breed is hardy and sure footed but agile and quick-minded when at work. They are colored more vibrantly than their founders after being crossed with Quarter Horses, Appaloosa and Paint types.
Though they tend to be hot headed when left to themselves, these horses are very willing once training begins and are known for their athleticism in and out of the show ring.
They excel in the Western division, with most being used for ranch work on an everyday basis, but others have proven their worth in the Dressage and Polo fields.

One characteristic of the breed is the ever present Dorsal Stripe. While Dun types are very common within the breed, nearly all American Aztecas carry a dorsal stripe regardless of leg barring or other dun factors. It is thought that any American Azteca that lacks a dorsal stripe will bring bad luck, and so those that do not sport one are often sold at market for much less than those that show. It does not, however, indicate any less ability when showing.

Rare - Champagne, Pearl, Appaloosa, Mushroom, Chubari Spots, Netting*
Very Rare - Brindle, Reverse Brindle, Manchado, Chimeric
Notably Unapparent - Rabicano, Lacing, Pintaloosa types

Kit genes are in effect!
Dominant White, Roan, Sabino, Tobiano
(RnTo, RnSb, WRn, WTo, WSb, ToSb)

Update!
Appaloosa types carrying Paint genes show distinctive markings!
Tobiano carriers show Cat Tracks.
Splash carriers show Bald Faces.
Sabino carriers show Gulustra Plumes and/or Badger Faces.
Overo carriers show Irregular Face markings.

Sterilizing your horse will grant a bonus to competitions,
but they will not longer be able to breed.

Breeding:
Unlimited slots
Stallions can breed 5 times per month
Mares can breed 3 times per month

Retirement:
All horses can be retired at any time.
After retirement, they cannot show.
Retired stallions can produce 4 final offspring.
Mares can produce 2 final offspring.
Retired horses do not count toward barn limit.

You cannot adopt/purchase others until you have a founder, stable and bank.
Once you receive your founder you may do what you wish with it, but you cannot claim a second.
All founder stats are relatively low, but through breeding stats may be raised.

Once you have chosen a discipline for your founder, you may not change it!
All stats will be rolled according to the chosen discipline for Founders only.
Stats that are in italics are the focus of the event; horses with these will do show better in their field.
