Brightgaze is the god of gossip. He says it's part of his duties as a Warrior Leader - that knowing what is going on in each cats' lives will help him make sure things run smoothly - but no cat buys it. However, what surprises them is that most things he learn not from gossip, but from his perceptive eye. He can study a cat from a distance and notice tiny little details that he can somehow piece into information about them. He'll be one of the first cats to notice an expecting mother, a new relationship, or even if a cat is up to no good. There are very few cats he doesn't know about.
On this note, if he were to make a documentary, it would be on the Secret Life of FlareClan cats. The show would feature the latest drama between arguing cats, which cats are "single and ready to mingle", who's been catching the most prey recently, and any other gossip he can get his paws on.
"But Brightgaze, that's not a documentary, that's a gossip magazine or a new show!"
"Oh yeah? Well take a look at this!"

The camera pans slowly around the camp in an establishing long shot. Cats are going about their daily lives. The camera then goes to a medium close up of a fluffy brown she-cat.
Brightgaze: "And here we have the Champion Hunter, Duskfall.
Unaware of the camera, the cat continues dragging her prey (a large pigeon) to the fresh-kill pile, eyes darting around.
Brightgaze: She has just come back from a successful, solitary hunt. If you look closely, you can see her eyes darting from side to side, searching for the She-cat she's trying to impress. This is common for the-
The subject's head snaps around, eyes locking on the camera. With a startled meow, she glares at the camera. Face hit with embarrassment, the cat makes a dash for the camera, but it is pulled back in time to track her movement as she bats Brightgaze around the ears. The sound is not clear, the boom mic having been knocked out the way. Hoping to mix things up with an over the shoulder Shot, the camera gets closer. A grave mistake. The flustered she-cat focuses on the camera again, reaching her paw out-
It cuts to black.
Spot the film studies student! This was my first time writing a script, even if it was silly, good practice to test my knowledge of camera shots/movements, thank you for the chance! uwu

cat name: whistlepaw (whistlewish)
clan: rimeclan
rank: warrior
gender: she-cat
age: 19 moons
prompt: [the camera pans around the camp. the footage is shaky and clearly filmed by an inexperienced hand.]
whistlepaw, in a solemn voice-over: we see here the natural habitat of the north, a particularly grumpy species of medicine cat. the north itself is nowhere to be seen; this is because, due to its cantankerous nature, it tends to shun the company of other organisms. norths tend to congregate around the medicine cat den, which is where we'll head next.
larkspur, from off-screen: whistlepaw? wha-
[the scene shifts, now depicting the mouth of a mossy tunnel. from further inside, the faint sound of arguing can be heard.]
whistlepaw: the north is, typically, a territorial animal. it reinforces its dominance over other organisms by chasing them from its territory whenever possible. on rare occasions, however, it can be induced to share its domain with another animal - in this particular north's case, a goosewhisker.
[the camera zooms slowly. from deep within the tunnel, the voices rise sharply.]
goosewhisker: - and you know it. so get off my tail, alright -
north: i'll kick you out myself, so help me -
whistlepaw, in a slightly quieter voice-over: of course, cohabitation doesn't always indicate mutual affection. the goosewhisker has an unfortunate propensity for violence, which doesn't mix well with the north's combative personality. one must wonder how long this arrangement will survive.
[the camera cuts to a different angle of the tunnel. north stalks out of the den, pelt bristling.]
whistlepaw, whispering: the north is emerging from its lair. this one is a wonderful specimen - observe the faint tabby stripes on its fur and the massive scowl on its face. and the furious look in its eyes - it's - it's coming this way, oh stars hELP ME-
[the camera cuts again. this time, it's focused on north shouting at an apprentice.]
whistlepaw, in a sober voice-over: the north is typically helpless when it comes to fending for itself. instead, it forms a symbiotic relationship with other organisms, typically apprentices. because they can't actually say no- ahem. the apprentice supplies the north with food, while the north provides medical treatment. however, like most of the north's relationships, it appears this one is doomed to go sour. surely -
petalpaw, confused: whistlepaw? what are you doing?
[the camera jolts.]
whistlepaw, frantic: petalpaw, not so loud!
north, off-screen and considerably more menacing: yeah, whistlepaw, what are you doing?
[the camera cuts to black.] [399/400]

There were so many good documentaries here! It was super fun reading them all, and laughing at the goofs. The winner is:
Griffin Torrens
I thought the reasoning behind his documentary was very fitting, and I loved reading the “attack caught on footage”. Congrats! <3
