They spent a couple of minutes looking for the stranger, but to no avail. It must’ve felt their scents and scurried away, not wanting to face a whole group alone. They doubled back and approached the house. With the sun already set, vines creeping up the cracked bricks and leafless trees swaying in the wind it looked eerie.
“Well, I’ll leave you to it and go do my own thing. Haunted houses are not my cup of tea.”
Shiningheart looked away from the house and at his companions. Raven was smirking.
“Or are you just scared?”
“Scared?”, inquired Blue. “Are houses scary?”
“No, but haunted houses are. Don’t worry though, this one isn’t haunted.”
“It could be”, chimed in Shadow.
“It definitely is.”
The ginger cat smirked back at Raven. The black cat expected Blue to be frightened, but he looked nothing, but excited.
“Lets go in!”
The three cats entered the house to the sound of a loud creek from the heavy old door.

The cats are gathered around the entrance of the barn when they hear a blood curdling screech. Shiningheart ducked with paws over his eyes as an owl swoops down at them. Luckily for him shadowtail jumped up and caught it. A swift paw and a nip later the magnificant creature is subdoed + 4 FP, + 1 owl, + 4XP
While his face was hurried near the ground shiningheart finds a herb and an item + 1 catchweed, + 1 star's gift, +2XP

After shiningheart gains his composure and shadowtail cleans his paws they notice a strange scent in the air. Bluecloud identifies it as the scent of a badger do they follow the scent?

the she-cat stretched out her paws until her belly brushed against the damp
earth. behind her, a the mostly white lemurtail stumbled into her. "hey!" she
hissed, her ears pinning against her head. the white she-cat hissed back at her
and the two stared at each other, the raining cascading onto their heads, until
rainpaw shoved between them. "get over it. it's wet and cold, none of us want
to be out here, and there's not enough prey to go around. just hurry up so we
can go home." robinshine huffed at the young apprentice before hurrying along
the path. they were almost to the southern most part of their land, headed
toward the beach where cherrystar's mate and two other kits lived. though
there was little to be done about their long lasting relationship, tensions were
clear when it came to breaking the warrior code. jungleclan had it's own code,
but most of the cats who came to live here had been following starclan's code
long before jungleclan's. still, however split the clan was about cherrystar's
personal decision, they obeyed her. she had lived in the jungle the longest
and survived grueling winters and harsher wet-seasons. as the leaves under her
paws turned to sand, she knew the border was close. they could go home soon,
that was what she held in her mind as the scents of the ocean washed over her
nose. rainpaw wrinkled her nose in disgust and robinshine rolled her eyes,
wondering when she would get over her distaste for salt-water. lemurtail said
nothing as they remarked their land, her silent nature questionable and
strange. she was older than cherrystar and even blueflame, so her years came
with wisdom yet she had no children and mentored no understudies. she had
no sister pair, a she-cat to which another she-cat bonded to for life, the way
that robinshine and frecklewish were bonded. to rainpaw, lemurtail was
admirable. to robinshine, she was just strange. every she-cat in jungleclan had
a sister pair, it was written into the code. but not lemurtail. she preferred to
patrol, eat, and sleep alone. robinshine almost felt guilty for her but knew her
sympathy would be rejected, so she kept her muzzle shut and allowed for cherry-
star to force her on patrols with cats she wanted nothing to do with. wc: 389

the brown she-cat would carefully step through the thick blanket of snow which had laid below on the floor of the tundra. each pawstep would mark her way back to camp, her light blue eyes would curiously watch as the sun had began to set on the horizon. perhaps she should be headed back soon, it's dangerous practically year round here, in the harsh tundra but winter is knocking on their front door and now that night was fast approaching maybe it was time to head home? the stubborn she-cat pushed on, it wasnt snowing.. so she wanted to keep going. she leaped forward through a larger almost mountain like pile of snow, a small laugh escaped her maw as she did so.

Roseclan

Mossberry poked his head out of the medicine cat tunnel. The cool air and chilly frost nipped at his little nose and make his neck prickle. Today was the first day of leafbare anfd he had lots to do to prepare. Mossberg prodded snowbird with his chilly paw which made her jolt awake.
After realizing it was only her mentor she settled back into her nest hoping to catch a few more moments of sleep before they start the day. Mossberry had other plans. He held his paw over the white she cats nose so that she would have to breath through her mouth. Snowbird glared at him as best she could with sleep clouding her gaze.
"Go get a warrior to come with us, we need as much help as we can get". Snowbird flicked her ears irratibly. Why couldnt this wait until sunrise? She thought to herself. Snowbird left the tunnel with a shiver as she went to the warriors den. No surprise to her they were all still sound asleep. The white cat picked the nest closest to the entrance and gave the cat a great shove.
"Hey what do you think you're doing?" Meowed junipercloud through a large yawn.
"Mossberry has some work for us, follow me". Was the reply seemingly from the darkness. Junipercloud practically jumped out of his nest when he recognized her voice. In a frenzy he looked around to see every other cat asleep. Thats a relief. Junipercloud gave his chest a few licks to smooth out his embarrassment.
Soon the three cats headed off into the woods, Mossberry in the lead with snowbird only a few mouse lengths behined and finally junipercloud who shamefully brought up the rear of the group. The trudged along in silence for quite some time before any cat spoke.
"So uh how have your dreams been?" Junipercloud asked snowbird. Though he spoke to her he dare not look at her. [ #324 words ]

“This house is haunted by a badger! I can smell it.”
“Lets chase it out before we start exploring!”
Ravenash seemed to be in a fighting mood. They left Shiningheart outside and fluffy ginger went on about his business, to meet them later, when they were done with their adventure.
Bluecloud nodded his head.
“Follow me, I’ll lead you to it.”
They were inside a rather grand entrance with stairs going up on both sides of the room. One of them was half-collapsed, but the railing was still there, making it easy for agile cats to climb. However, Blue led them a different way and into a corridor to the left. The door leading to it was open. The ceilings were high, the walls made of large, stone bricks, cracked in some places, with empty candle holders. The three cats stepped across the hard-wood floors looking for the badger. However, it only took a couple of steps for Blue before the old wood beneath his paws cracked and suddenly collapsed. He screamed as he fell down, pieces of wood falling behind him. Ravenash rushed to save him, but Shadow stopped him.
“Don’t be stupid, it’s too dangerous. Lets find a staircase down and look him then.”
Ravenash tried to free himself, but what Shadow said was true. He couldn’t just jump into that hole, no matter how much he wanted to help his leader.
“But… it’s Blue. He’ll be lost and scared. He can’t protect himself. He might be hurt! I need to help him.”
His voice was desperate, pleading.
“If you want to help him, lets take care of this badger first. That way it can’t hurt him.”
He was right and Ash knew that. There was nothing else to do. He nodded his head and the two of them moved on, looking for the badger.
