Polar Bear limped back over to the group after the battle with the Badger. He got thrown off his paws at the end. It took him awhile to finally come to his senses again and make him back toward his two other clanmates. "That hit took the wind out of me." The large tom mumbled, lowering his head. "I apologize if I wasn't much use to the battle."
Suntail shook her head at the large tom. "Nonsense!" She spat. "The spirits seemed to have heard the prayers in our head. We're lucky that the three of us alone were able to fend off that badger. And we're very fortunate that you're fine, other than the wind being knocked out of you for a little bit." Suntail nudged Polar Bear with her shoulder and smiled up at him. She then looked at Badger. "You did great too Badgerclaw."
The tom dipped his head in thanks for the compliment that the she-cat had given him. "Suntail, now that the badger is gone, I suppose we should now report to Adder before anything else. We wouldn't want to keep him waiting." The slender tom said.
Suntail simply nodded in agreement. "Adder will be very pleased to hear what we've done today. There's no doubt in my mind that we may be recieving some recognition from the other clan members as well. It could've ended a lot worse than it did, once again." The two toms nodded in agreement once again. They all stood there for a moment just imagining the praise that they'd get upon returning to camp with the news of the successful battle with the badger. Finally, Suntail spoke again. "But first, we must feast!" Suntail said as she quickly went to grab the mice that they all gathered while they were out. After the battle, of course their stomachs were rumbling with hunger.
After a few minutes of the cats eating the mice, they all stood at once. "Back to camp we go!" Suntail said cheerfully, holding her head high as she trotted off toward camp, eager to give Adder's Posion the good news.
