krestalbreeze caught scent of a fox. Her fur along her spine stuck up until she realized it was a stale trail. Still this is something she would have to deal with. Krestalbreeze sneered to herself knowing this meant gathering a patrol to track and chase it off. Krestalbreeze pawed at a leaf before heading back to the clan for recruits.

Upon her entrance of the clearing krestalbreeze noticed several cats still in camp. She sighed, didnt they anything better to do? Looking around at her clanmates she mentally picked out which ones she wanted to go with her. Mossberry? No, a med cat wouldnt be much help in this situation. That also rules out snowbird. Juniperpaw? Hmm maybe but his mentor would have to come too. Krestalflight rolled her eyes just thinking about wolftooth. He and his mate speckledfish were having some...issues and he wouldnt be quiet about it! Still he is the best fighter in the clan.

Krestalbreeze trotted through the forest with her chosen group of cats: speckledfish, wolftooth, and juniperpaw. Luckily for her the two warriors didnt bicker at all! In fact they acted like the other didnt exist. Krestalbreeze thought of their kits, her heart ached for them. Juniperpaw on the other hand was starting on her last nerve. He stopped to sniff every leaf and ask if it was fox scented. Krestalbreeze was about to turn around and give him something to talk about when...

The two young cats scatter to the sides, the wild animal jumps at Polar Bear only to get hit with a massive paw. Suntail and Badgerclaw lose no time and begin furiously clawing at the badger's sides. "Mikhail." The blue leader spoke, "please prepare for possible injuries, we're all going to deal with a problem. Including yourself." His green and blue eyes swiveled to meet hers, and he nodded with acceptance. Ravenamur did not order him lightly, she usually kept her cool even under dire circumstances.

Ravenamur sat atop the knoll, waiting for her leopard-kin and seer to return prepared. In most clans the medicine cat was ill prepared for combat, and she had seen the results of such poor planning. Therefore all of her clan was taught in the ways of war, that no cat would be caught in a situation they couldn't at least attempt to defend themselves. Mikhail was a great example, she had found him as a kittypet who had also been dumped in the mountain range. With his extensive knowledge of herbs though, he had not needed to study to become seer, only learning how to fight. Any of his seekers would need to learn both abilities from him.

Mikhail returned with Blazingsun, his mate, and their now fully grown son, Savageheart. Silently they set off, and Ravenamur described what she scented from the knoll. They began their hunt for the rogue near the star path, a place of truly special properties. Rogues in this area meant bad news for the clan, as the star cave was their only connection to starclan themselves. They followed what they believed to be the scent, and did all they could to keep an eye on the surrounding forest and snow for tracks, markings, or fur from the intruder.

Coming back to camp, slightly empty-handed had put Lavenderbloom into a foul mood, as she stalked back into her den with the mouse in her mouth. Irritated she ate it her belly now more than full, deciding to take a nap and let peachblossom deal with the rest of the duties. She didn’t know when the next sacrifice to the spirits of the orphanage would be needed but there was only one cat left. She remembered how peachblossom had somehow trespassed into her territory, Wet and shaking taking shelter in the orphanage, she reminisced how she made the she-cat believe in her power, and her belief it was the same dance every single time. Every cat the entered her woods fell to her words, her power she was truly like a spider who waited in her web for her prey, she had killed her clanmates one by one fueling fear and hatred that ultimately lead to them destroying each other for her grand ritual to the spirits, but that was a year ago and now she had a meddling she-cat who was beginning to doubt her. a shame, I wanted her to stick around a little longer but I suppose I must feed the spirits at some point. she mused to herself. As she drifted off to sleep. Peachblossom sighed to herself, she once believed that lavenderblossom was a kind old she-cat with great mystical power at least thats what the old cat convinced her of. But she had been here for a month and yet none of the other members had come back from what the old cat called the eternal ritual, perhaps that’s why it was called the eternal ritual it scared her that she was the only cat around, but deciding it was best to avoid lavenderblossom’s foulness she made herself scarce and headed to the woods and down to the abandoned pier an old tire swing swinging in the wind as an odd sight but she settled herself on the edge perhaps she could catch a fish for herself however the sound of paw steps set every hair on her back on edge. Jumping up she whirled around there stood three cats - the cat with the light orange eyes approached her first Sorry to startled you honey~ but we're awfully lost, my name vixey and these two are sigurd and fern, our ship crashed on some rocks a few miles from here, we're trying to find a main road to a human town? Peach gave them an odd look I- see well that's terrible please uh my name is peach blossom. You're kittypets? the tom named fern and vixy nodded the other gray cat with the odd green and red eye looked away and huffed. I - was a kittypet too! my name was delilah it's a pleasure to meet you all! um perhaps before you head to the human village you would like to stay at my clan's camp. Rest before your long journey ahead. We're known as the spiritdolls around these parts. she offered slightly hoping perhaps they would all stay at the camp perhaps even join the spiritdolls and she wouldn't be left alone with Lavenderbloom anymore the mere thought of it made her shiver. There was something wrong but she felt if she dwelled too long on it, her own fate would be sealed. Showing the trio to the camp she was greeted with a grumpy lavenderbloom who stumbled out of her den with a grumble however at the sight of the three new cats her eyes light up Why! Peachygirl! you've brought me some fresh blood, welcome strangers to the spiritdoll camp please make yourselves comfortable my name is lavenderbloom. After the introductions and some food was given Lavenderbloom worked her charisma and managed to charm the trio into staying espically after discovering the two toms had a vast knowledge of herbs and healing tatics and the she-cat had a gift for seeing the future and sometimes spirits. far more useful to her then peachblossom that's for sure. Vixey,Sigurd and fern is far too...humany for my tastes. awkward glances were exchanged between vixey and sigurd but there was a glint of excitement in fern's eye who finally spoke up. Jersey devil's scream. I'd like to be called that. he stated a soft purr rose from the old she-cat's throat sounds lovely but we'll call you diablo for short. the tom nodded showing a toothy grin before sigurd sighed I suppose seastorm may work? he got a dirty once over Harvestmoon. pardon? you got a crescent moon on your face boy. Your name will be octoberfest's harvestmoon. That's a fine name. the tom felt bile rise in his throat perhaps staying wasn't a good idea. but he merely nodded sounds fine then ma'am. lastly it was the new shecat with the light orange eyes. I refuse to change my name. she stated it was clear she intended to stand her ground but lavenderbloom knew how to work with this. Oh don't worry dearie your name can be vixen's call. See you can still keep your name. But we'll just call you vixen. unable to respond vixen stood still and just stared this was becoming quite odd. the old she cat stood up on her paws It's been lovely, we'll hold your official welcoming ceremony in three days. be sure to make your offerings to me worthwhile. once the she cat slipped back into her den. Peachblossom turned to her new clanmates and smiled Ah fer-sorry diablo could you go search for fresh herbs? and Vixen hunting and patroling should be done so you can get a feel for it. Ah and Harvestmoon you will come with me to hunt for more prey. It's best to keep the food stocked up.

The party finally reached a clearing. It wasn't quite the open field like their cliffside, but at least the trees thinned out.
They took only a few steps before Ravenash stopped them, noticing a stray cat, sitting on top of an old, fallen tree.
"Stay quiet so he won't notice us. W can go arou-"
He stopped abruptly. Without turning the stranger peered at them with narrowed, yellow eyes and calmly went back to licking his paw and cleaning his ear.
It was weird. They haven't felt scents of any other clan so far, so this definitely wasn't someone's territory. This cat must have been either a loner or a scout on patrol. He should run away, seeing as they had number advantage or approach them. Not ignore them. The outsider's calmness made Ash very uneasy for a contrast.
"Shouldn't we go say hi?"
Blue whispered into his ear.
"I guess so." Ash replied reluctantly. "But stay on your toes, I have a bad feeling about that one. And look menacing."
Shiningheart just snorted and began to trot alongside the other two. Blue looked awkward, walking on stiff paws in a poor attempt to follow Raven's order.
As they reached the outlander, he finished his cleaning, sighed ostentatiously, then glared at the newcomers.
"What?"
Bluecloud stepped forward, sensing that Ash was about to explode.
"Hello! What a nice day it is, isn't it? My name is Bluecloud and that's Ash and Shiningheart. What's your name?"
The stranger stared down at them from his tree, calmly, but said nothing.
"Um... We're travelling these lands in search of, uh... adventure! And new members to join our clan, the Windclan! Located on the most beautiful cliff, with open fields and the most wonderful blue sky not obscured by anything!"
Bluecloud's eyes sparkled with excitement as he talked, but the tom didn't seem interested at all.
"On your way then. I won't stop you."
Blue's enthusiasm dimmed. Ash stepped in.
"You look like a good warrior, I can tell. But even the best of warriors won't survive long without a tribe."
"I'll take my chances."
Ash gritted his teeth, as Shining finally chimed in from his position, slightly in the back.
"What dear Ash here is saying is that he won't survive long without some proper warriors in Windclan. You see, this scrawny little ball of rage is it's greatest warrior."
He finally got the black tom's attention.
"What? Really?"
He eyed Ash up and down. He could tell that the cat had experience in battle. With his small stature he seemed quick and agile, but you didn't win wars with agility, but strength. He smirked.
"Your leader must be pretty bad then."
Blue scowled and hanged his head down. Shining patted him on the back, while suppressing a giggle.
"Some nerve you have, saying it straight to his face."
For the first time, the stranger seemed to lose his composure.
"Huh? Wait, is he... Uh, I didn- I didn't mean..."
Raven on the other hand, appeared to have calmed down a little.
"Look. What Shining is saying isn't wrong. We're a new clan. We won't survive on our own. We need strength, we need cats like you!"
"Oh, he'll definitely join now. You sound like a nutcase, Ash."
Before the angry grey feline could interrupt him, Shining continued.
"These two are really pretty special. They're young and full of hope for a better world. They want to create a peaceful place, without war and suffering and the constant dispute that all clans seem to be so fond of. It sounds like a dream, especially when you look at this one over here"
He pointed his tail at Raven, who remained silent, but his eyes were shooting daggers at the ginger cat.
"But I think they may actually be able to do it, if they have the right support. That's why I joined them. Sort of."
The stranger looked them over once more, his gaze lingering a little bit longer on Blueloud, who smiled at him, hesitantly, but friendly.
"I'm not really looking for a clan... But these areas are dangerous..."
His voice was quiet and trailed off, like he was talking more to himself than to them.
"What if I escort you until you find someone else?"
"Like a bodyguard?"
"Sounds neat! We can get to know you better."
"But I'm not part of your clan."
He narrowed his eyes and glared at them with confidence, like a commander giving orders.
"Understood?"
"Yessir!' replied Bluecloud by impulse.
"It's a start. We can talk details later. So what's your name?"
The black cat's yellow gaze trailed off to the sky for a moment, before he jumped off the log to join them.
"It's Shadowtail."

Brakenstar was very pleased with Moosetrot's haul from his small patrol group so he decided to send out another, larger group this time. He sat at the center for the camp in the cave and called his patrol together
"Bluefall, Echospirit, Rosedust, and Moosestrot."
Gingerclaw huffed, he was not happy that he wasn't invited on the patrol. As all the cats gathered into the center Brakenstars heart rate picked up as he saw Rosedust approach.
"Im so excited I get to come on the patrol!" she said
This just made Brakenstar's heart flutter even more. Once outside the camp they headed towards their northwest border, the thickest part of their forest. While all the other cats split up and were hunting for prey, Brakenstar and Rosedust stayed back to patrol the borders.
Maybe there's more to come for these two... <3
