-- with words -- animationMars is an Equinox Syndicate native born. She resides on the reserve as Antares's second in command. She is seen as terrifying, silent and powerful, but she has a resting face and a powerful voice that contributes to her intimidating demeanor. She is patient, especially with pups and those who are learning, and is fearless. She tends to become ruthless in words when angry, opting to choose words over claws and teeth. She is nonetheless destructive and effective.
Mars was born into the Equinox Syndicate as a sun-born guardian. Her father, Orion, was leader of the Sun Division. Immediately, Mars had felt out of place in the Sun Division. She slept late, and felt something in the night that tugged her toward the Moon Division. At her 1 year ceremony, she chose to move to the Moon Division, rather than stay in the Sun Division. This bothered many in the Sun loyalists as usually the leader's kin would stay in the division they were born into and would inherent their kin's position. She left and was immediately welcomed by the Moon Division and the heir to the title of the Moon Division leader, Taurus and his brother Antares.
The three of them grew close, but no bond was as strong as Taurus and Mars's bond. They would constantly find reasons to be close to one another. One night, the three of them were out and about when Taurus slipped on a cliff. Antares and Mars tried to save him, but they couldn't hold him. He plunged into the water, and the two felt horrible about the ordeal. They never saw him again from that night forward.
As the second kin to the leader, Antares was now the heir. They recieved their guardian ranks, and not long after, Antares's Uncle died of old age. Antares was now the leader, but the problem was he had no more direct kin to ask to be second-in-command. That's when he asked Mars. She accepted the duty. They were still young, and Mars didn't see much of her parents due to the nocturnal nature of the Moon Division. Mars hadn't seen her parents much, but soon heard circulating whispers that the leader of the Sun Division and his kin had all mysteriously died. Mars overheard this. It made her heart sink at the thought of it...
That night a ceremony was held. She didn't want to believe it was any of her family at all, but there was no denying the bodies that now laid in front of her. She did the only thing she could've thought of at that moment-
She just cried and grieved.
The Sun Division had suspicions that SHE was the cause of their death, and the ancestors cursed the remaining members because she didn't take on the role. She never believed it was her fault. She thinks her family was murdered in a family assassination for power. She's still trying to find the evidence to this day that she isn't crazy. It had truly worn on her over the past several months. Something about Atlas, the current leader of the Sun Division, was mildly suspicious to say the least.
