Competition:Link to Trailer Park Entry: XIt had been a struggle just to get him to stand, the poor creature had been that weak. He had come willingly, step by agonising step into the light of day for the first time in who knows how long. His legs had given out and he'd collapsed onto the floor though his eyes were brighter as he took in the outside world. It seemed easier the second time, to get the stallion up and walking that is. Being outside seemed to give him some miraculous newfound strength or perhaps it was that he finally had hope
It was decided that his wounds were the most important issue. So armed with antiseptic and soft clean instruments had Isabella tending to each and every cut. The stallion stood surprisingly still, the only movements he made were the occasional weight shift and tiny flinch from the sting of the antiseptic every so often. After the cleaning process he was given a small hay net filled with lush alfalfa hay. It had been recommended for past rescue cases and she had checked carefully with the local vet to make sure it was suitable for the stallion. She'd decided to name him Diamond, as he'd be rough during the healing process but once he was recovered he'd be a stunning and beautiful gem.
While Diamond recovered he was let into the isolation field each day for a set amount of time that was gradually increased as weeks went by so he could eat the lush grass. Everyday he was allowed to be taken for small stroll's around the yard and upon being confirmed strong enough he was taken for longer walks through the fields. Taking him swimming had been recommended but he took one look at the pool and turned his nose up at it. There was no fear he was just being a diva about it, the same could not be said for when he encountered muddy puddles. Unfortunately for Isabela, who was the one having to clean him up afterwards and Diamond never made it easy for her. Often ending up with the dark haired woman almost as wet as he was what with the stallion "accidentally" standing on the hose every so often and moving right as she picked it up again, causing the hose to spray wildly.
