Silas Runekeepers are fluffy, semi-aquatic, squirrel-sized creatures from another world. Though they vary greatly in appearance, each individual is sustained by a chunk of extremely dense crystal - their 'heart' - which some theorize may be fragments of dead stars. Silas are highly social and intelligent; they enjoy the company of humans as much as their own kind, so consider taking a few home with you!

this adopt started off as a simple rose gold design, but then I added the red, and it ended up becoming persephone inspired.
I did want to show off some of the variety possible within the standard lineart, so this little guy has bits of each set of traits!
I did end up giving 'em some funky eyes though. why not, right? c:

explanation ;; [Iris was the Greek goddess of rainbow and although Iris's appearance isn't a rainbow, her parents think so. See, Iris loves bonding with other Silas's from time to time but she would much spend time more to herself, where she is free. so just like a rainbow, you can see her doing something but then her colors start to fade and if it comes back, you'll never catch up to it.
Or you know, maybe her parents named her that because Iris is also a flower and they kept calling her flower. I don't know, Iris doesn't know ;-; ]
