"Fabulous. Just fabulous." Julian whipped his glorious mane (as he prefers to call his hair) behind his ear and trotted down the dock. This is outrageous. If he had wanted to go to the beach, he would have just booked a trip to one. Still, the price for this cruise had been far too good to pass up, and Julian desperately needed a vacation. Work had really been getting to him lately. Being a fashion designer's assistant was tiring. Sometimes, he felt like he did more work than his boss. Nevertheless, he was trying to break into the business, and it was good experience.
Suddenly, Julian let out a shriek, drawing the attention many passengers around him that were also exiting the ship. "Get it off! Get it off!!"
"Dude, chill the heck out. What's your problem?" Julian barely registered this comment from
Shiloh. He couldn't believe he'd agreed to go with him, of all people. Shiloh knew absolutely nothing about design, including just how fragile his current outfit was.
In spite of this, Julian turned to him, eyes wide. "That gust of wind just blew sand all over my shirt!" Shiloh rolled his eyes, only making Julian more frantic. "Do you understand how much this shirt costs?!" He gestured to the vibrant flower-print fabric. "A
lot. I shouldn't have even brought this here, ugh. If this gets ruined, that's two-hundred dollars down the drain."
Shiloh nearly choked on his own tongue.
"Two-hundred bucks?? For a stupid
shirt?!""It's NOT stupid." Julian shook his head in disbelief. "You're a piece of work, you know that?" As he tried to brush the grains of sand off his shirt, Julian sighed. Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad. He had his childhood friend with him after all, as annoying as he was. And tomorrow he could just change into something cheaper. Maybe he could even find some pretty seashells on the beach. And the shops were bound to have cute clothes.
Yeah, this wasn't a complete disaster. It might even be
fun. Hey, at least he wasn't working, right?
